Good morning all!

{ 08:58, Friday, May 16, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
I decided last night that I would change up my mornings. I have never really had that big a problem with my weight.  I weighed 85 when I graduated and the same when we got married.  If anything, I was a little too close to anorexia than I like to think about now.  I had to gain up to around 95 before I could even get pregnant.

After Little Buddy was born, I started doing Pilattes every morning to get my body back to it's normal size.  That worked great!  I couldn't have asked for better results, in fact, even though I weighed 115 instead of 95...my body was leaner and trimmer.  I was eating when I fed him (about 4-5 times a day-smaller portions) and controlled my blood sugar (hypoglycemia) very well this way.  I continued this through most of my pregnancy with LuluBelle and again after she was born, my stomach was flat and tight.

I had a horrible time with her delivery though and went a year needing surgery to correct some issues that were a result of that (I didn't discover this fact though until I switched doctors).  When you combine the medical issues I was having with trying to adjust to life with two babies, my routine was disturbed and I lost more weight and quit eating properly.

My weight fell below 95 after LuluBelle was born and stayed there until the last few years.  But it was not a healthy weight for me because I wasn't eating properly, again.  I am one of those people who can go forever without eating, literally.  There are days that I only eat once a day, if that.  I have learned to trick my body by drinking coffee or whatever to keep my blood sugar level.  The problem with this eating schedule of mine is that I have hypoglycemia and it will probably turn into Type 2 Diabetes if I do not keep it under control.

This is all to say that since I have passed the magical age of 30 (so family members keep telling me), I have been steadily gaining weight and unwanted tummy rolls.   I know that my lifestyle is not healthy, but have been pretty lax on trying to get it back to a healthy state.  This is funny when you consider all the other areas of my life that have been transformed and changed to be more natural.  So this morning, after reading from the book of Ruth, I started up the Pilattes DVD again.  I would not have believed how out of shape I have become, if I hadn't done this.  My bones and joints were cracking and I just know that I am going to be in REAL pain tomorrow.  This is a necessary evil to getting back in shape, of course I don't remember it being quite like this before.  That could be because I was much younger and in better shape to begin with then.

I have been on a life-changing path for some time now, but now I would like to add this as well.  I weigh around 118 now, I know that there are many of you that would love to weigh that  but just hear me out before you start sending the hate mail to me.  It is not a healthy 118 pounds, my muscle mass is the lowest it has ever been and the excess boddy fat is the highest it has ever been.  I am about 5 foot 3 inches and while that weight number should sound right, the reality is that fat weighs less than muscle.  So I don't care about the number, per se, I just want to trim up and build more muscle mass.  I will update on my progress here, so as to help with accountability.

Spring Farm Tour Part 4

Flowers, flowers, everywhere...well in my dreams anyway!  Here are some of the tulips that I ordered and planted last fall (this was done before my husband banned :( any new flowers due to upkeep).  I really enjoy the look of flowers out side, so I try to never cut any to bring in.

Tomorrow tour will be the gardens!

New HE Washer

{ 02:30, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 } { 2 comments } { Link }
Our washer was sounding like it had bricks in it over the winter.  I babied it as long as I could because I was having a difficult time deciding what to replace it with.  I do not like to spend more money than is absolutely necessary for anything.  So, of course, when it comes to appliances I tend to hesitate for as long as I possibly can.  I really wanted a front loading washer, but didn't want to pay a fortune.  It seems that it paid off for me here.

We ended up purchasing a Frigidaire HE front loading washer.  We got it in March, but I waited to write about it until I used it for long enough to give accurate comments on it.  I absolutely love it!  First of all, I had to find a recipe for laundry soap for HE washers (this was confirmed before I would even consider it).  After finding the recipe and verifying that I could make it (it is just the simple powder like most of us use anyway), I started narrowing down washers based on price and size.  Then I researched any and all reviews that were online until I found one that I thought would be the best for the money and work as well as I want (with little to no negative comments about it).  While many of the comments that are published online are negative (because they are written in the heat of the moment by people who are angry), I found one commenter who took the time to give a thorough review and even updated it a year later.  Obviously that is the washer I bought!

I have found that when you use the powder laundry soap, it helps to keep your whites brighter and cleans almost all stains from the clothing.  I have also found that when I am doing laundry now, I do half as many loads with the same amount of clothing.  What is the best thing about this washer is that the store that I bought it from was discontinuing this particular washer and I only ended up paying about $100 more for this one then I would have a regular top-loading washer.  This is probably the best purchase that we have made, until now that is.  Not only did we get a wonderful deal on it, but we are also conserving water, electricity and my TIME!

On another note:  I did not replace my dryer because we just repaired it this past winter and it works fine.  I was wondering if the old dryer would dry the laundry as quickly as the new ones are supposed to.  After two months of using it, I have been able to confirm that the old dryer will dry a whole load (about 10 pairs of jeans) in about 40 minutes and smaller loads in as little as 20 minutes!

Now to get that wood-burning attachment for the furnace and save a few more bucks this winter.

God Bless!

Spring Cleaning and Organizing update

{ 02:24, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
Well after much prayer, deliberation and going back and forth, I have finally decided to turn my formal dining room into my workroom/school storage room.  This was so difficult for me because I am the type of person who really enjoys entertaining people in my home.  The reality of the situation is that ever since we started going to our church a year ago, we have not been entertaining very much (due to the fact that our church is 40-45 minutes away and it would be difficult for people to drive that distance for a meal).

Since the room is sitting there, unused (kind of...I had already started putting inventory there too), I figured that it would make more since to make the transition.  This way all of my supplies, finished goods and additional school stuff will be kept in that room and my house will look less cluttered.  It has been very difficult to "clean" around the clutter this past six months or so.

I will be posting some pictures of this as we work on it.  We should probably get to it in the next week or so.

God Bless!

Spring Farm Tour Part 3

Here is a shot of some wild blackberry bushes that we have here on the farm.  Customers love the jelly and jam that I make from these berries!  I do NOT love the thorns though...LOL!
This is a mixture of the wild blackberries and the wild black raspberries.  This is one of the hardest patches to pick in and I come out looking like I have been in a cat fight!  LuLuBelle really loves the berries and when she is with me, we only end up picking about half as much...or is that taking in half as much.

I planted some Chokecherries this year and should have a wonderful harvest next year.

I also planted some Nanking Bush Pie Cherries this year.  You are supposed to be able to get a larger harvest quicker on these than on the trees.  Hopefully so, that means next year we should be able to make a bunch of different varieties of jams, jellies, and pie fillings!

Berries, berries and cherries...what more could we ask for?  I am hoping to add to the bushes, vines and trees a little every year.  I only want to get into the berries and cherries though because I have local orchards and U-Picks that I can get the rest of the fruits from.

God Bless!

Spring Farm Tour part 2

{ 09:55, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 } { 1 comments } { Link }
Here is the second installment of our farm tour this spring.   So maybe I should have started with this one first.  This is how our drive looks when coming in from the street.  That white house is where my in-laws live, our house is further back behind the barn.  This drive is about the worst one that I can imagine in the winter time.  I do  not enjoy driving on it, but am no longer intimidated by it like I was when I first met hubby.

Here is Little Buddy driving around the field on one of the small farm tractors.  He is getting to be such a big boy and I am not ready for it at all.  This is where we just planted about 300 pine trees.  That will come in handy later when they grow up.  It will greatly reduce the mowing!

And finally here is a shot of the cherry trees that I planted a few years ago.  I can not wait for them to be up to full production (and neither can hubby he loves cherries)!  They are still small right now but I am including another shot of an older cherry tree that is now producing because I planted these two trees!

God bless and have a wonderful day!

We went walking the fields the other day and I decided to take along my camera.  Here are a few of the shots I took around the creek!

My favorite spot of the creek.  This is the bend in the creek just before it goes into the woods.

Just down from here is the little bridge and on the other side of the bridge is the sycamore tree, probably my favorite tree ever.

I will be listing a few "shots" of the farm at a time and updating about our activities here at Chrysler Creek.  Hope all is where in your homes as well.

God Bless!

Busy, busy, busy

{ 11:44, Saturday, May 10, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
How did life get so busy?  That is a funny question because in actuality we make it so busy ourselves, don't we.  There are some things that we do that determine how busy we are.  Some of those things can be changed to slow our schedules down and others can not.

I haven't been blogging here so much because I have been blogging at my blogspot blog and trying to keep up with my business.  These things are in addition to my homemaking, homeschooling, and homesteading schedules.  That was a mouthful!

I am not complaining about the work, because let's face it...if I didn't enjoy it... I wouldn't be doing it.  There are some aspects to this lifestyle that I have chosen that could be changed, but I have no desire to change them.  I enjoy making the soap (just wish I had more time to do it) and the other things that I make to sell.  I just need to get more inventory made up before July because that is when Farmers' Market starts here in town.  After that I will have little time to keep up!

I will just leave you with these verses that I have been pondering lately.  "And  whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance for you serve the Lord Christ."  Colossians  3:23-24 NKJV

I had been getting slack on some of my "work" and recently realized it was because I wasn't following these verses.  This puts everything in a whole new perspective!

God Bless and have a wonderful Mothers' Day tomorrow!

Organizing and spring cleaning

{ 08:19, Tuesday, April 1, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
Organizing has become one of my biggest vices in life.  In general, I think that I had been pretty organized most of my life.  For the past few years, though, it has been another story.  I could list many excuses for this and most of them might be valid, but that wouldn't solve anything.  SO I am just going to tackle one pile of clutter at a time and get it back to where it should be.  I have determined that, like most everyone's, our clutter is due to an overabundance of unnecessary things.

This is where a totally unbiased professional organizer would come in handy.  However, seeing as we don't play the lottery, that will never happen.  I did start cleaning out my clothing last fall, and the criteria that I used was "Have I worn this in the past year?".   It was so funny how much clothing I had that I never wore that much.  Here I was under the impression that "I had nothing to wear!".  They made their way to the local Good will and I the cleaned up some much needed space in my room.   This same concept will be applied to every pile of clutter and disorganized drawer in my home.  Being a homeschooling mom, this makes it more difficult because you know that "I might need that one day".  LOL!

I am combining the art of organizing my home and spring cleaning this year.  It makes perfect sense to me.  The main goal that I have in mind is to create a workable space for my business inventory and supplies.  Right now they are scattered all over the house, in tubs and boxes of course.  Dear Hubby has a near OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) with organizing and that is truly not an overstatement!  So I thank God that he has been as patient with me as he has!  I do think that this patience of his will likely not hold out much longer though, so I better get busy!  Today I am going to be working on the kitchen.

With HIS help, all things are possible!

Chamomile Tea Soap, Cold Process Soap and a Contest!!!

{ 10:08, Saturday, March 29, 2008 } { 1 comments } { Link }
I have been very busy trying to get a bunch of soap ready for the Farmers' Market season.  I recently made some cold process vegan soap and scented it with a blend of natural essential oils that duplicate the Aveda scent of Madagascar.  It is a wonderful, neutral-sexed scent that is a blend of vanilla and ylang ylang.  However, I am having an awful time coming up with a name for it that both men and women will find appealing.  I have decided to run a contest to help name this soap.  Leave a comment telling me what you think I should name it and if I pick your suggestion, I will send you a free bar.  This contest is open to anyone in the US (shipping internationally is just too expensive...sorry).  I hope to hear from you all soon!

In other soap related matters, I made some Chamomile Tea Soap today.  I discovered (the hard way) that you can not mix lye into chamomile tea.  It turns colors, smells awful (even worse than the lye water mixture) and essentially scorches the tea.  So I had to dump that out and start over, luckily I did that before mixing with the oils...it is bad enough to waste the lye!  Oh the joys of trying new things.

Seriously though, I am really enjoying this cold process soap!  I have two batches that are already cured now (Peppermint Perfection and Native Purification) and have been enjoying them at bath time.  I tested the pH level of them and they are a 7.  This is wonderful!  Especially when you consider that Ivory is 9.5.  The Peppermint Perfection is natural peppermint essential oil and ground dried peppermint leaf.  The Native Purification is a natural essential oil blend of Cedar, Sage and Sweetgrass.  I was pleasantly surprised at that scent because I was expecting it to be strong kind of like Patchouli, but it is just smooth and relaxing.

I will be checking this more often and hope to have a name for this new scent by April 14 because that is when it will be totally cured.  Have a great weekend and God Bless!

Spring is almost here...I hope!

{ 09:41, Monday, March 17, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
It has been a long time between posts here, sorry for that.  I have been working on a lot of new projects and products for my store Chrysler Creek.  This has been more time consuming than I thought and with all the illnesses in my house this winter, it is a wonder that I have accomplished anything.  I started making cold-process vegan soap that will be available soon and stocking up on it so that I don't run out before Christmas.  The local farmers' market here doesn't begin until the first weekend in July...that is a bit disappointing, however, I will be kept busy getting the jelly and jams made in June anyway.

With that all said, I am so excited that spring is finally almost here.  The winter snows are wonderful for our gardens (we found this out the hard way when there was a lack of snow last year!), but I have just about had my fill.  The days are turning warmer around 40's and the sun peeks out now just to tease us.  These are days that I wish I had nothing more to do than to walk around the farm and take it all in.

We worked on the chicken coop this weekend, getting it ready for the little chicks that we will be ordering soon.  I spoke with a friend yesterday about the possibility of finding a goat soon.  I want to buy a pregnant doe, so that I can have goat milk soon for my little ones (and a baby goat for LuLuBelle to love on).  She is the most excited of all of us I think.  She loves almost all types of animals and will probably be a Vet when she grows up.

I will try to post some pictures of our farm over the next few weeks.  Until then, God Bless.

Saving money at CVS?

{ 08:44, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
I did receive my new soap molds yesterday, however, I did not get any soap made last night.  My sister-in-law told me about Money Saving Mom and so I decided to check that out.  I went to the site and started reading.  I was a little skeptical because I have never really shopped at CVS before, I get our prescriptions at Meijer because I am normally there anyway.  So I was thinking, what does CVS sell that I would need?   It turns out that they do sell a lot of the things that I buy, and I will save a ton of money by shopping there.  So the simple "I will check it out" turned into a night filled with signing up with different coupon places and preparing lists for today's shopping.

Littl did I know that printing out your own coupons would be so frustrating!  It turns out that most of the coupon sites do not allow you to use WIN98.  Unfortunately, I figured this out about an hour after beginning.  So I had to go get the laptop, install my laser printer on it, and start over.  I started this process at about 5 PM last night, took a break at about 6:30 to do dinner (very late and hubby was starved), began again about 7:30, and finished at about 9:00.  Mind you this is only because of the computer difficulty and now that I have everything downloaded onto my laptop, it will go quickly from now on.

When I figured out my list, I found that I will be getting 2 (100 ct.) bottles of Excedrin Migraine for free, $6 off of Lulu-Belle's Zyrtec (should be around $17 for one month compared to about $90 when it wasn't OTC), 5 bottles of low-dose or children's aspirin for free, and a lot more than that.  All I can say is that it was totally worth a couple of hours on the computer!  Head on over there and see what you can save.

Christy

Parental Rights amendment

I just received a newsletter from Home School Legal Defense that prompted me to go to www.parentalrights.com and sign a petition that will help to add an amendment to preserve parental rights.  It was quick and painless and as many of you parents may know could become necessary.  Just though I would pass this on.

UPS Delivery tomorrow Yeah!!

{ 09:37, Monday, February 4, 2008 } { 1 comments } { Link }
As you can see, I am very excited about this delivery tomorrow.  I ordered new soap molds with a miter cutting box to go with them.  I am so excited because the homemade molds that I have, make it harder to cut the soap.  I understand that a lot of people do use them and seem to have little problem cutting the soap, however, I am a wimp.  I am not a muscle woman and probably will never be one either, so the easier the better.

Anyway, this brings me to the kids.  Little Buddy used to go nuts when the UPS guy would come.  He could never keep it straight what to call him.  So on any given day he might have been the PBS man or the UBS man, you get the idea.  It was hilarious because we seem to always have the same man delivering.  He would just laugh because he could hear Little Buddy yelling "Mommy the PBS man is here!".

Now Lulu-Belle is much different.  She would hide from anyone new.  So I don't think he ever got a chance to see her.  She is much better now and is steadily getting better as she gets older.

So anyhow, you can probably guess what I will be doing tomorrow night...making soap.  This is extremely necessary because I already have orders for it and it takes four weeks to cure.  Yikes!!  These orders are for close friends of mine, so they are really understanding.  This new line of soap will be available at Chrysler Creek in roughly 6 weeks.  It will once again be a vegan soap, but with added oils that will help to nourish dry skin conditions like eczema.  And as always, they will only be scented with natural essential oils and herbs.

Blessings,
Christy

Homeschooling and Homemaking busy-ness

{ 10:26, Thursday, January 31, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
Hello and I realize that it has been a long while since my last visit here.  If you have read my last post you will see that along with all my other chores, I had to speed read a book because once something gets in my mind I can't stop until I figure it out.  On to more pleasant things though.

On the homeschooling front we are making great strides.  Little Buddy (7) is finally reading without the frustration and anger as before.  I purchased what were supposed to be reading books for the first grade and I think they are geared more to third graders with long stories that would frustrate him and leave him feeling poorly with his reading skills.  He has always been able to read, he just lacked to self-confidence with his ability and would grown tired with long lessons.  I came across a book of materials that had been designed to go along with my ancient version of Hooked On Phonics, the SRA reading power set.  This has been an absolute God send to our family.  I purchased it so long ago that I had actually forgotten about it.  For those of you who may not be familiar with it, there are reading cards.  They read a short story and answer some general comprehensive questions about the story.  This has changed our reading time drastically.  Now he not only enjoys it, but he looks forward to it every morning.

Lulu-belle (5) is just starting HOP this year and is a little slow to grasp the concept of blending sounds.  She has the desire and the will to learn it, but that is about where it ends.  She looks at the word dad and all you can get from her is da - ad.  She is determined though and I am encouraged daily with her efforts.

With homemaking I am continually striving to do better.  I have felt the need to make more homecooked meals lately.  We have definite food issues that need to be dealt with, namely finicky eaters.  There have been some health issues that have prompted some of these issues (poor gag reflux and texture difficulties) however I am hopeful that they are reaching ages that we should be able to work through these.  Lord willing, I will be able to prepare one meal a night soon (instead of two or three).  I have never been a big supporter of the Clean Plate Club or forcing children to eat what they absolutely do not like, but I fear that I may have swayed too far the other way with my children.

God Bless,
Christy

Movie Review: Saving Sarah Cain

{ 09:55, Thursday, January 31, 2008 } { 4 comments } { Link }
I couldn't wait for this movie to be released!  In fact, I was quite disappointed because I had to wait a few extra days due to it not being shipped on time.  Let me say that I am a HUGE Beverly Lewis fan!  I have read all of her books and own most of them.

CAUTION:  Do not read any further if you have not watched the movie and intend to as there will be spoilers printed here!

If you have never read the book "The Redemption of Sarah Cain" by Beverly Lewis and also never plan to, then this would be a great movie for you to watch.  The actors are wonderful and it is very entertaining.  It is a nice family movie, as far as I didn't notice any swear words and so forth.

I was greatly disappointed in this film because the ONLY thing that they did not change from the book were the characters' names.  The childhood of Sarah and Ivy Cain was changed in the movie to make it appear that they had been close growing up and that they were orphans.  Sarah's profession was changed from a realtor to a journalist that set out to secretly profit from the children's misfortune.  They said Ivy had no will in the movie, but that is what brought Sarah there in the book.  They also showed Sarah at Ivy's funeral in the movie, in the book she arrived long after the funeral and didn't even know where the grave was.  She took the children to her home in the movie but not in the book.  While living in her home, they were sent to public schools where the two older children (in school) abandoned their beliefs and began acting and dressing like the "modern kids" in an effort to fit in better.  The relationship with Bryan Ford was altered significantly.  These are all things that I noticed fairly quickly.

I watched the movie three times because it just didn't seem like I had read this story before.  I then reread the book and realized that I had indeed not read that story because it was nothing like the book.  You read enough books and then watch the movies based on them and you sort of expect some changes.  However, as I said before, the only thing they kept the same were the names of the characters.  Probably worst of all is that we have a "Christian movie" based on a Christian book and they totally forgot to include the main character coming to Christ at the end.  Way too much of the spiritual aspect of the book was left out of the movie, but that's Hollywood folks.

My new homeschool planner

{ 09:11, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
My aunt purchased a set of teacher created resources cd-rom's for me and I love them.  There is a lesson planner, grade keeper and 2 discs of fonts.   I had been using a really great lesson planner that is available online for free, but until high-speed is available here, that just isn't a good way to spend my time.  So I spent much of the weekend transferring plans and it was worth it!

School just seemed to sail by yesterday because I had everything organized and knew what I had to do and when.  The really wonderful thing is that since I had such a good start to the day, everything else seemed to fall into place as well.

Today's schedule is as follows: breakfast, school, finish putting the laundry away (some leftover from yesterday), lunch,  wash sheets and make beds, make heart-shaped natural peppermint bath fizzies (from yesterday's schedule), figure out something for dinner, work on some sort of a household binder-schedule and make candles for a wholesale account.   That seems like a do-able list, so I should get busy.

God Bless,
Christy

A nice relaxing weekend and back to work

{ 08:18, Monday, January 14, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
It was nice to be able to just relax this weekend.  Saturday morning I went uptown to search for the Valentine's items to use with my Chrysler Creek creations.  I found lots of things that I picked up and will be posting them sometime today.  I finished off my trip with a wonderful large Cafe au Lait from the local deli.  I used to enjoy these daily while I was working uptown, but now they are just an occasional treat.

Here it is Monday now and the children are finishing up their breakfast.  We will begin school shortly after they finish eating.  The days laundry has already been started.  There is plenty of laundry left to do though.  I have a tub that I pile in all my sweaters and special care clothing and wash when I have enough.  That tub is to be cleaned out today and probably done away with.  This is one of the clutter areas that need to be dealt with.  If it is in the tub, I can put it out of my mind and only do the laundry that needs to be done at the moment.

I need to update my website today and make some more products.  Today's product will be heart-shaped Natural Peppermint Bath Fizzies.  I picked up the mold for these yesterday and can not wait to begin.  I purchased little Valentine's Chinese take-out boxes to package these in and they are going to be too cute.

We are preparing the chicken coop for the chicks that will arrive this spring.  We have not had chickens here at the farm for some time now and with the price of eggs uptown, they will be a welcome addition.  Our family doesn't eat eggs very often.  In fact, I can't remember the last time that I cooked an egg breakfast for us.  This will all change though once we have eggs readily available here at the farm.  I need to do some research on chickens sometime today.  I do have my father-in-law (retired farmer) here to help, but I like to know for myself also.  I better get moving now because the children are so until later.

God Bless,
Christy

It's Official!

{ 10:14, Friday, January 11, 2008 } { 0 comments } { Link }
Now my 7yo son has it too!  It is funny how the same sickness goes through a house and everyone reacts to it differently.  First of all, it seemed to take almost a week for him to get sick and he was worse than my daughter.  The little guy seems to be feeling better today, but I will still keep all the food away from him for the rest of the day.  I remember that I wanted to eat and when I did, I would just get sick again.  I kept food away from my daughter and she seemed to get better more quickly.

I just spoke with DH and told him that we will be staying up in our room for the day.  Our house is built into a hill and the downstairs is a walk-out basement.  It stays pretty cool down there, so I will keep them upstairs today.  He said that would be a good idea.  Another thing is they only have a few of their toys in our room to tempt them to move around.  They get to feeling a little better and then they can't sit still!

Meanwhile, I am trying to come up with a homemaking plan that I can learn to stick with.  I have some issues with time management and the one thing that seems to suffer is the housework.  Our house is not dirty, I just have some clutter issues that need to be dealt with.  I just took a bunch of things to Goodwill, and should have a lot more to take in the next month.

Have a great day and God Bless!

This past week!

{ 09:16, Thursday, January 10, 2008 } { 1 comments } { Link }
I can not believe it has been a whole week since I updated here!  I have been terribly ill with what would seem like some type of the flu.  All I can say is that if you haven't had it, count your blessings and thank God.  This had to be the sickest that I have ever been, and I just had a kidney stone and infection last month!

My 5yo daughter is now sick, but I can't tell if it is the same thing or not.  She just occasionally throws up for no reason, so it could just be her acid reflux and she does seem to have a cold.  My 7yo son just seems to have a cold with some nasal congestion.  Through all this I just feel blessed that I am able to stay home with them and that my husband is able to take time off to help when needed.

I did get some more work done on my website this week.  I finally figured out why I couldn't set sales tax and shipping on paypal, it only likes internet explorer, so that is all straightened out now.  I did have to reorder some supplies this week and they just arrived today, so there is much to do.

Have a wonderful day and God Bless!
Christy
