Moving Day.....

is coming soon!

We still don't have a definite date, but know it will be within the next 2 weeks.  That means I have to get super busy this week packing.

Our new home will be much smaller than where we are now.  That isn't a bad thing at all; but it will take some getting used to.

The back yard has space for a garden, and I can have herbs and flowers in the front, too; as well as my containers that go "wherever I can find an empty spot".  There is a small patio under a beautiful old Oak tree in the back.  The girls quickly decided that was the best thing of all about our new home

I'll be back to post photos and share more about our "new to us" home when I can.

Blessings,

Catherine

Good luck with the move. I am sure that you will adjust fine to the smaller size. It is amazing how we seem to fill whatever space we are given, no matter how large or small. I am trying to downsize our lives and want our next move to be without all the extras!
The garden spot sounds nice. I have no place for a garden where we are now, but am looking forward to moving someplace I will have one soon!

We moved in December to a house in an urban area with 1800 sq ft after 3000. It has been a delight after I got over the shock of reducing our stuff by 1/2.The yard has 1/4 acre in the back that is 1/2 filled with a shop, but we still have a garden patch and a wonderful deck. I pray your move will go peacefully and you will find much joy in your new surroundings! One of the things that helped me most was to pack two boxes of first night things. One had towels, tp, shampoos, pajamas, etc easy to find with sheets. The other had a new family movie, snacks, water and things to make the first night a relaxing one once we were finally in the house.
hugs
