Popping In...

for a quick Hello!

I have not had time for blogging lately ; and I've missed both writing and reading other's posts.  We've had a busy month with church responsibilities, plus our "Normal" homeschool and household activities seem to be taking me longer to accomplish these days....I must be getting old !

I have 2 tomatoes on my fall planted tomato!  Yea!  The parsley finally sprouted; but I've all but given up on the spinach.  It is quite possibly still to hot for it to germinate, so I guess I'll give it a few more weeks; but I'm going to buy fresh seed and plant another section elsewhere- just in case. 

It's almost time to get the violas and pansies planted for cold weather color in the flower beds.  I love violas, they're one of my favorite flowers.

I've been majorly slacking in the kitchen these days, having too many evening activities has messed up my schedule, and we've been resorting to fast food (yuck).  That's hard on the budget AND the body .  If I never see another cheapo chicken sandwich from McDonald's or Jack in the Box I'll be a happy mama! 

Now that it's cooling off, I can make soups, stews and crock-pot things for dinner.  I'd love your favorite recipes for any of those.  If you'll post your favorites on your blog, and then leave me a comment so I can find them, I'd be grateful!
