A Change of Seasons

In the natural sense, the seasons are changing.  Today is the first day we've had Fall-like weather.  It is a glorious day- cool, cloudy, and breezy.  The kind of day that makes me want to just sit and watch the wind blow through the trees and enjoy the cool air.  The lesson books sit unopened while my 3 girls run, ride bikes, and just enjoy being outside on the "first day of Fall" for us.  This is one of those memory making days, when seeing and talking about the Goodness of God with my girls is far more crucial to me than checking off the boxes for Math and Language Arts in the lesson book.

In the spiritual sense, I also feel that same "tugging at my heart" that I get with the change of seasons.  In some ways, I sense that I have come full circle.  Moving from a wonderful relationship with the Lord and a time of abundant blessing, to going through some serious trials and battles.  Now, almost 2 years later, though I have scars and healing wounds, I am once again back to that place of quiet rest with the Lord.  Changed, hopefully a bit wiser, and  absolutely amazed at the Grace and Mercy of God. 

I can feel the change in my own spirit, and see it in my husband and others close to us.  We attended a conference last weekend that has stirred some things in all of us, as well.  Now the time comes for me (us) to sit at the feet of Jesus until He makes His will clear.  For now, I am just enjoying the freshness of a new season...
