Something I'd Never Expect in the Mail...

I got this little note from our water supply company today:

Dear Water Customer,

Due to the decreased amount of water use this summer we are experiencing a problem with taste and odor in the water. * When in Texas(except this year of nonstop rain) has there ever been decreased water use in the summer?  Oh, and there is definitely a problem with taste and odor- I try not to think about it....bottled water is now a staple.

To eliminate this problem we must do a "burn out" (super chlorination) of the system..........  *not sure what that's all about, but it doesn't sound really....ummmm healthy.   Of course the icky pink slimy stuff  that grows oh so quickly in the water around here doesn't strike me as particularly healthy either....  on a brighter note, the across the road neighbors have a well!!!!  Perhaps I'll go begging with a water bucket !

Perhaps it's time for reverse osmosis system?? That is what we have.... we have heavily clorinated water and with our culligan system it is much better! If you have a culligan company around.. I would give them a call. Clean and safe drinking water is so important!

Blessings~

Oh yum....
I wonder sometimes with the water around here what they are covering up with all the chlorine. Makes me glad we have a spring locally that we can get to for our water needs.
