I Have Dirt!

OK, I know that sounds silly, but the apt. maintenance man came by today while my girls were digging in the mud outside our apartment and asked if they were planting flowers.......  To make a long story short, he said we could plant flowers (even veggies have flowers) on either side of the steps, and under our windows !  Yea!!  I have dirt to play in. 

 I'll still have to contend with the lack of sun, but a shade garden will be better than none.  I'm thrilled!  And, there is sun on the other side of the sidewalk, so I think perhaps the girls and I will volunteer to help with the landscaping that is to be done there soon .....

That is fantastic, how unusual for an apartment complex to let you do such a thing, they are usually so picky and want everything to be uniform, ya'll are really going to enjoy that!

Good for you.
I read your garden in a wheelbarrow idea on the HSB front porch. Loved it! That's a really good idea.
How's your new life going?? I think you would flourish anywhere!
