A Little Gardening Today

Gorgeous day here!  I've spent much of the afternoon playing with seeds, soil, and seedlings . 

The little girls discovered me before long, so this quickly became a joint venture. 

We planted seeds for Picklebush Cucumber in a large terracotta pot.  After they germinate I'll either put in a bamboo trellis for them to grow on, or set the pot close enough to the fence for them to climb along it. 

We also planted Mrs. Burns Lemon Basil in a window box.  MMMmmm.....I can almost smell it already!

After we got those watered, I sent the girlies off to have a snack so I could actually get to plant some things myself .

I took cuttings from my Snowflake Rose Geranium and Myrtle.  After dipping the stems in rooting hormone, I put each cutting in its' own little pot of peat & vermiculite.  If they all root, I'll have 4 Rose Geranium and 3 Myrtle plants to share with friends .

After giving everything a little water and organic fertilizer, I guess I'm finished in the garden for today.

Today is my baby girl's 5th Birthday, so tomorrow will be filled with cake, punch, gifts, family & friends.

AND we could sit and sip sweet tea on hot summer days...

I'm sorry for what you feel while being tried...I can relate but with a different trial!
People can be so ugly...try to laugh a bit honey. Drink some sweettea and tell some jokes.
