Herbes De Provence Cheese Spread
Hey, my cheese is almost ready! Yea! It's hanging over the sink draining as I type .
Here's a recipe I'm going to make with my cheese:
Herbes De Provence Cheese Spread
1 cup fromage blanc, at room temperature
1 tablespoon herbes de Provence
1. In a food processor or by hand, blend the cheese into a smooth spread, then add the herbs.
2. Place the cheese in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to eat.
Note: This spread is best refrigerated for 24 hours; this allows the herbs to flavor the cheese more completely.
Sounds yummy, doesn't it? I think I'll make a nice loaf of french bread to serve it on..... Mmmmm.
The recipe is from the book Home Cheese Making by Ricki Carroll. You can find it at: www.cheesemaking.com ; which is where I purchased the starter culture and other necessities for my cheesemaking adventure.
