First Herb Garden at our New Home

We planted our first little herb garden this weekend.  Yea!!!  It's been so long since we've had an actual "in the ground" garden.  We made a bed at the edge of our back deck and planted Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, and Sweet Marjoram in it.  We filled in around the small plants with some pretty annuals: zinnias, marigold, and dianthus. 

We also purchased Applemint, Spearmint and Peppermint plants which will go in containers on the front porch. 

I saw lots of other herbs that I want to grow, but this was a good start anyway.  I have pots of dill, chives, and 2 types of parsley that I planted last month.  The plants are tiny, but they're coming along nicely.

I will plant seeds for basil and a few other things soon.

I love to grow herbs, I think of all the different types of plants I grow, herbs are my favorites.
