I'm Back.....sorta :)

Well... we're in the midst of a "winter storm" here in my part of Texas.  That means sleet, ice, and just a few flecks of what I think might be snow .  Mostly it's just plain old c-o-l-d. Brrr... I'm used to h-o-t, which I can usually handle, cold is another story. 

Some good news... my dear hubby fixed our phone line issues.  It seems that some mice had quite a time with the lines in the attic!  Also, someone who lived here before us seemed to have switched a few wires around .  Anyway, I now have working phone lines in 2 rooms!  The not so good news... my freebie dinosaur computer seems to have expired.  So, until next month at least, I'm having to borrow the computer in the church office.  I'll try to check in at least once a week if not more. 

In the midst of the cold weather, I'm spending my time cooking, cleaning, and doing just a little bit of planning for the garden.  Seed catalogs are way too much fun!  I have quite a wish list going, and I've only gotten to flowers so far!  I'm in big trouble, I think.  I wish I had the catalog here, I can't remember the name- but it is full of wonderful sounding "cottage garden" flowers.  I can hardly wait! 

I've also been enjoying the birds.  The sparrows have been coming right up on the deck for their seeds.  And we have bunches of Robins hopping about digging thru the leaves looking for bugs.  Of course, when I get the garden growing, I'll be shooing them to the front yard I guess.

OK, I've got a few minutes to check in with some of you and then I'm going home and have a cup of tea- hot tea.  It's c-o-l-d in here.....

Hello Catherine,

We are in central TX. Covered in ice and sleet. The wood has run out and I have a sewing show to go to UGH!!!

Ready to get back to that warmer weather we are all so use to!!! :)
