Almost Time to Go...

     I almost cannot believe that in about 90 days, we will be moving from this little Urban Homestead.  I also can hardly believe we've been here almost a year!  The rest of my family can believe it, and are ready to go- anywhere! 

Funny (and just a bit scary) thing is.....we have no idea where we're supposed to be going.  God is like that, though.  He frequently tells His children "Go".  Remember Abraham?  "Go.....to the land  which I will show you."   That's kind of how we felt this time last year.  And here we are.  And now our lease will be up the first part of February, and again we feel it's time to "Go". 

I'm praying it's to a little homestead in the country!  We are all very weary of even what many consider "small town life".  I'm ready to send my girlies out to play, and sit down and have a cup of tea, knowing I can peek out the back door and check on them- and they'll be fine.  I'm ready to sit on the front porch in the evenings with my hubby and not have to hear the neighbors every word (many of which aren't fit for human ears).  I'm very ready to once again dig in the soil and plant a "real" garden, and share the harvest with others.  I'm ready to say, "Come out to our house.  There's plenty of room for the kids to run and play." 

Ready to GO, I am. 

Yet, I wonder.....What if the LORD tells us to go to another city?  Heaven forbid, what if it's even another apartment?  Will I go?  yes.  Will I be able to do it joyfully?  i'm workin' on that one.

Hope I don't have to find out! 

Please pray for us as we seek the Lord as to where we are to "Go"!

A joyful or merry heart is difficult to have when your desire differs fromt eh Lord's. I have been working with my children on this trait, and you have reminded me that as adults we still struggle with this one. Thanks! I look forward to seeing where God leads your family.
