Maple-Nut Blondies
Here's the recipe for my latest "Kitchen Adventure" . Pretty tasty, if I do say so myself! I wanted something quick and easy for the girls tea-time. I took the recipe for Blonde Brownies and tweaked it just a bit. Since they're almost gone, I would say this recipe is a keeper!
Maple-Nut Blondies
2 cups unbleached organic flour
2 tsp Rumford baking powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup organic cane juice crystals
3/4 cup pure Maple syrup
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together:flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl mix together: melted butter, eggs, sugar, syrup and vanilla.
Stir dry ingredients and walnuts into sugar mixture.
Spread in a greased 13x9 pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes and cut into squares while still warm. Enjoy!
p.s. I think these would be fabulous with some chocolate or even butterscotch chips thrown in. Raisins or other dried fruit would be good too.
