Helloooooo

from the library!  My computer has a "power supply" issue...not good.  Prayerfully, it will be repaired this week and I'll once again be connected to the world!  It's amazing how we depend on things, and how lost we are when something goes awry. 

Yesterday our electricity was off- from 3 a.m. until 4:30 p.m..  More power supply issues, and boy did that throw me off!  Everything in our apartment is electric, which means no cooking, no lights, no SHOWER (well a cold one, but no thanks)!  A learning experience for when we move to the homestead- never, never go all electric!  I did in desperation discover that it is possible to heat enough water for a much needed cup of coffee over the flame of a tart burner !  We had candles and an oil lamp for light.  My 8 year old discovered that reading by the light of an oil lamp is not that enjoyable.  A good object lesson for our "Pioneer Days" history study.  I seriously considered building a fire in the grill and cooking lunch.  Of course, it was wet outside because it had been raining, so I wimped out!  I added more oil lamps and a camp stove to my shopping list for sure!  OK, my computer time is about up, so I'd better go- I'll hopefully be back online next week.
