This week at the funny farm.....

OK, I had my week all planned out:

Lessons planned for the little girls

Sarah continue her Math, Language Arts, Botany project

House cleaning and Laundry today

Cheesemaking- Fromage Blanc to be started last night

Grain grinding and Breadmaking this morning.......lots more "stuff" for the rest of the week.

WELL, seems my plans have been altered just slightly... I have an extra child for a few days, so "school" is out at least for today.  Cheesemaking and breadbaking have been pushed to tomorrow's schedule.  I was up at 1 am attempting to convince these little girlies that it was WAY past time for them to go to sleep. Then I couldn't go to sleep- until 5 minutes before the alarm began it's horrible beeping at 4:00 am!  The most creative thing I've done today was make Cake Mix Cookies for snack-time.  Not a healthy snack, to be sure; but it was received with much enthusiasm from the girlies, and they were Chocolate cookies, so that was a plus for Mom!  If you'd like to try them, here's the "how-to":

Cake Mix Cookies

1 cake mix (any flavor)

2/3 cup cooking oil

2 eggs

You can add in whatever "extra goodies" you like: chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, etc. 

Mix together, drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.    Enjoy!

Now, I just need to decide on what to make for dinner tonight.  I had planned on making meatloaf, mashed potatoes and fried okra.  Now that seems like more trouble than I care to go to- maybe Cheeseburger Soup and biscuits instead.  Right now I'm going to make myself a cup of tea, have another cookie and perhaps take a little "power nap".

For the last two weeks we have been staying up late to,between 1:00 am and 5:00 am.It makes me feel bad all day the next day, so tonight we are going to bed by 10:00pm.Belle
