"God made rainy days, so gardeners could get the housework done."

Of course, on rainy days I'd rather take a nap.....or read a gardening book!

So True! I always tell myself - the next day it rains - I'm going to get this, this and this done.........and well, that just doesn't seem to happen! We are getting rain today - but we've been in a drought so long - I catch myself standing and staring at the rain - guess we've forgotten what it looks like!

Thanks for stopping by SGL!

Catherine,
It has rained here off and on all day and AFTER I planted more Impatiens and double begonias I thought, hmmmm, I have those lovely books that Catherine just sent me..would be a great time to read them~that's exactly what I intend to do after my little 'loves' are in bed..*smile*
Oh, if you get a chance to read a good book, the Yada Yada Prayer Group is the BEST series!
Love,
Lynne

TRUE!

I look forward to reading your blog daily and getting to know you! After having almost ALWAYS lived in the country, we have just moved into town. It's a hard adjustment for me. I miss my flowerbeds, my garden, my animals with the milk and eggs, the peace and privacy! So I hope to find creative ways to keep the country in my life as I live in town with no yard in a house that is NOT "country" at all!

I would have thought dill would be too big and scraggly to grow indoors! Does it really work well for you? I hope to plant some herbs and grow them as houseplants. My favorite is Cilantro, which grows kind of like Dill. You need so much of it and I'm afraid it won't work well to grow it in the house. :( Have you tried that one?
