Monday Madness

The cousins are visiting!  Yea!!!  Our 2 neices and nephew are visiting for a few days.  So, off and on this week I'll have 6 children instead of 3 !  They are precious, of course, but boy do they keep you busy.    I'll post some pics of our trip to the lake later.  

It rained this weekend.  A much needed blessing for gardeners here.  BUT, they began "landscaping" just outside our apartment on Friday......piles of dirt everywhere  .  Now, my girlies have yet to get in it- though it's sure to happen; but our little neighbor had a blast Sun. am! 

Yes, I'm laughing because it wasn't one of my kids in mud over his ankles, giggling like mad while his poor mommy stood on the sidewalk and really, really wanted to scream!  He's just a little guy, so he could get away with it, but boy did he get muddy.  There are tiny footprints all under my windowsill.  Sure wish I'd had my camera handy! 

I have more tomatoes!  Yea!  I was very disgusted with that one lonely tomato; but things are looking up- there are 3 more tiny ones now. 

The basil sprouted, so perhaps I will get to harvest my own fresh basil and tomatoes this year after all. 

Marjoram and chives are just beginning to bloom, and the lemon balm and pineapple sage are growing well, too. 

I love fresh herbs!

Sounds like you were having a nice time. I like cooking with fresh herbs. They are wonderful. And I love the smell of them on my sill also.
