Mozzarella Recipe

OK....some of you asked for the recipe for Mozzarella.  I used the 30 Minute Mozzarella recipe from the New England Cheese Co. website.

I ordered starter for yogurt, kefir, fromage blanc from them also.  I've had fun making these and look forward to more cheesemaking experiments!  The Mozzarella was fun because you get to watch the change from milk, to curds & whey, to......Cheese!  Yea!!  One recommendation I have is to use the Lipase powder.  I think it will improve the flavor.  I made mine without it, but plan to order some for next time.   

The book  Home Cheesemaking, which you can also order from their site,  is full of yummy sounding recipes and step by step directions.  Perfect for the cheesemaking novice like me. 

Hope some of you try making Mozzarella yourselves.  Let me know how it turns out when you do!

Hi there sister! Long time...I missed ya. Been very busy with babies.
I wanted to let you know we didn't care too mcuh for the lipase powder. I think it might have been too much with the goat milk. Maybe it will improve the flavor of cow's milk cheese though.
