In my new quest to learn to love doing the laundry, I put together this little clothespin bag today.![]() I had all the items just hanging around the house, so it was very thrifty to make. I painted the old wooden hanger with some Peony Pink acrylic paint, then quickly rubbed it with a rag to make it look a bit aged. I painted the clothespins the same color and then gave them a quick swipe of Whitewash with a dry brush after the pink dried. To make the bag I simply turned the tank top inside out, cut off about 5 inches from the bottom, and stitched it straight across. After that, all that was left to do was turn the shirt right side out, hang it on the hanger and add the clothespins. I think it is fun, and the Poky Little Puppy was one of my favorite books when I was a little girl. I will probably removed the tag from inside the bag or put something prettier over it; though the name on the label- passing4sane does make me laugh. Some days that's all I am hoping to do! Have a wonderful winter weekend. |
