You are either a 'liner'; you cut the grass neatly, row by row, sometimes on a diagonal and sometimes parallel, or you are a 'boxer'- you mow around the perimeter of the lawn, around and around, making the box smaller with each pass. 

So which are you?  A liner or a boxer?  Boxer- though I'm neither at the moment; and when we do once again have something to mow, I plan on very little grass- and many more gardens!!!

I am most definitely a "boxer". This drives my grandfather up the wall. It's not enough that we actually have *dandelions* in our lawn, but I don't mow in *straight lines*, either!

You'll note that he poisons even the most remote remnant of dandelion and poison ivy from his lawn and mows in perfectly straight lines. Fortunately, he seems to be respecting our legitimate excuse that we can't put chemicals on the lawn due to free-range chickens. Because apparently "we don't like chemicals" simply for the sake of ... not liking chemicals... isn't good enough. ;)

Life can be very interesting sometimes.
