Berry Good Breakfast

Berry Good Breakfast

This is a quick, no-cook breakfast.  It is very tasty and healthy, too.

 For 1 serving, place

½ cup uncooked oatmeal into a bowl.

Pour in just enough Soymilk or other milk product of your choice to cover oatmeal.

Top with:

3 sliced strawberries

1 tbl. Flax seeds

A drizzle of honey

Wait a few minutes for oats to soften, stir and enjoy!

Notes:  Other fruits are good in this, too.   I’ve made it with apples, bananas, raisins and currants.  When using apples, raisins, or currants a sprinkle of cinnamon and/or cardamom is nice.  Nuts can be added as well.  Honey can be replaced with maple syrup or sprinkle of cane juice crystals.   If you prefer warm cereal, either warm the milk before you pour it on, or put the oatmeal and milk into the microwave for a minute or two before adding other ingredients.

Enjoy!
