  Think homespun, homemade, and home loved as Mother's Day is Sunday....

Happy Mother's Day

Onesome:  Happy- What did your mama do that made you happy or smile?  It can be something from when you were really young, or something very recent.  Tell us a few things about ways she left you with a smile...

My mother was an awesome seamstress, and she could make anything.  So, when I just "had" to have this certain skirt, dress or whatever- Mom would get a pattern or dream up her own and get busy.

 She was also brave (or crazy) enough to let me cut, perm, color and/or style her hair! 

When I started working in a dept. store as a teen, she was forever taking the shoes and clothes I brought home.  I laugh about it now, but as a teenager, I hated it when she'd say, "I like those shoes.  Give them to me and here's $$$ to get you another pair." NO WAY did I want to wear what Mom did, though I find I'm becoming more and more like her everyday now!

Twosome:  Mother's-  Tell us one thing you will or would tell your Mom 'thanks!' for on Sunday. 

For instilling her love of good books and reading in me :)

Carl and my 3 girlies will probably make me breakfast.  Then, hopefully we'll spend a quiet afternoon taking a long walk or perhaps a swim after church.
