Sunburn...

I got sunburned yesterday . 

It's my own fault, of course.

  The girls and I went to check the mail and for a "short" nature walk.  I let Sarah lead, and she decided to walk down the road a bit.  Then, she saw something on the college campus she wanted to look at, which led to exploring further, and down other roads not travelled....

We ended up at the pond, which led to watching the baby turtles swim and feeding the fish some bread not eaten by the ducks . 

 They finally let me convince them it was time to head back home- snack time was the only way they were going anywhere!

  As we were ambling along, we inadvertently ended up wandering through the "police training area" .  Gotta wonder WHY they are using the campus for police training???

  We got a few odd looks.  Just imagine, one mommy, 3 little girlies, and a red wagon filled with backpack, notebooks, binoculars, and a load of wildflowers- wandering around the college, right in the middle of their training !  Live and learn. 

 When we at last made it back home, I realized we had been gone for 2 hours.  I was wearing a tank top and of course, NO SUNSCREEN because I didn't plan to be out in the sun- especially for 2 hours!!! 

 Aloe Vera gel to the rescue!  It's still red this morning, but not as sore.  Should have used apple cider vinegar.....

Be careful of those sunburns, they do more long term damage than you might think. My arms are so sun damaged. I have such a hard time getting them to heal form any little thing!

Apple cider vinegar does the trick! Makes you smell like a pickle but it works. LOL

Sounds like you had a good day though.. funny about the troupe through police training. lol
