More Farmgirl Fun.....
OK....last week I hinted that I had a copy the new, beautiful

It is the Farm Kitchen Special Recipe Issue
As always, the magazine is gorgeous, and filled with great recipes, articles and other farmgirl goodies.
Now, who wants it???
I've had a bit of trouble deciding how to choose a recipient of my little treat,
so in the spirit of "farmgirl fun"...
leave a comment and tell me why I should send this magazine to you.
Come on ladies, be creative and use your farmgirl ingenuity!
I'll choose a winner from the comments posted today, so get yours posted soon!

Why should you send it to me ? Hmmmm.........
Well, #1 I need all the help I can get lol!
#2 I honestly would never just order it at the price (seems spenDY to me) without 'seeing' a copy live...and since we have NO bookstores in town (well ONE, but they don't carry it) and I have been dying to see a copy so I could justify ordering it! ;)
#3 well.....I don't have a #3.....I'll shamelessly admit, I'd just like to win :)
LOL!

I would very much enjoy the magazine as I'm still adjusting to many of the things (meaning doing things myself). I am trying but do make mistakes from time to time. Like for instance my big garden now I have had a garden every year except last (couldn't we had construction going on here) but this year it's bigger and I'm so excited. My fear is that I will not use the food as I should use it. I have come so use to buying can produce and some frozen that I get nervous about using fresh (as stupid as that sounds). I know I can do it, it's just that many many of the things I 'm am doing now are very very new to me. I stumble and I fall along my way but I get up brush myself off and keep going with the Lord's help and guidance.
God Bless,
Tammy

I've been haphazardly getting farmier and farmier lately, and farminess without some sort of direction can sometimes end in rather ridiculous mistakes and/or disasters. If I had a magazine like that, it would help me stay on the straight and narrow (farm) path.

Being on a limited budget around here, new magazines are often far and few between for me unless someone gives me their outdated copy or I find one at a yard sale, thrift store, or used bookstore.
So with that said, I would gladly welcome this new magazine. I am always on the lookout for new recipes to try as well as interesting articles to read.
I grew up in the country on a little 7 acre homestead. My family grew a garden each year, we had a few chickens, guineas at one point, and a cow and a horse at one time along with farm cats and a couple dogs. I am enjoying teaching my children the things I grew up with. The joy on their faces when they learn something new is well worth it all.
Thanks for hostessing this contest. Good Luck to all who enter.
Blessings,
Laura
Why I would like the issue of MaryJane\'s Farm?

I would like to receive the issue of \"MaryJane\'s Farm\" to give to my friend. She would like to get one after she saw mine, but as her husband is presently unemployed, she can not afford to purchase one. I also do not have the extra money at this time to purchase one for her. Thank you !
Why I would like to win this magazine.

I am new to the homesteading world. This is the first year I have had a garden. It is very small, but seems to be doing nicely. I am trying to learn all I can about homesteading, and this could be a valuable tool for me. I have been trying to get as much information as I can about farming, baking and a simple lifestyle for my family. I am the new girl trying to figure out how to homestead in the suburban jungle....LOL!
Well, now
I have to be honest and say that I have never read the magazine ... that doesn't stop me from wanting it - however, I have to be honest (again) and admit that probably others would get more use out of the magazine. Not to brag, but a lot of times, I can say "Done that!" ... although I still have a lot to learn!! But, give it to me if you aren't touched by the others with their humble pleas for help!! Don't give it to me if you think others are more deserving (which they are!). Anyway, it's a nice idea to give this away to SOMEBODY!

enuf of the sob story- i really could use the help in the kitchen- i'm finding the "old" ways of doing things are cheaper , trouble is i don't know a whole lot of them!

OK - I am about the most "un-farm" girl on here!! I need guidance in learning this "stuff"!! My only "farm animal" is a mini-dachshund!!! I live in the middle of the "burbs" - I just planed my first garden...if you go look on my blog - you will probably FEDEX me a copy of the magazine!!! It's my first garden...OK!!! I have the web-site on my favorites and I do like to visit - I even gave her a "plug" on one of my post earlier in the year!!!!
Would love to have a subscription!!!
Thanks
Donna

Can I use Amy's reason? What IS this magazine???? It sounds interesting! Seems like a lot of us are feeling kind of in need of direction. I would love to get it and will pass it around to all of my Home Schooling buddies :)!

I would absolutely devour EVERY little thing in it! I've never seen the magazine before, so I'm really missing out - and someone should enlighten me and add to my education (and entertainment and encouragement!). Also, for the time being, I have to live out my homesteading dreams vicariously, as we live in town with just an acre. It will keep me dreaming good dreams for the future!
