The Dream Resurfaces

As some of you know, this was the year my husband and I had planned on buying our little homestead in the country.  Then, the LORD adjusted our plans to His, and here we are living in an apartment, waiting for God to show us exactly what it is He wants us to do here....waiting, praying, waiting, praying...and learning a lot about ourselves and the Lord in the process.  How very often what we think we are supposed to be doing is far, far from what the Lord has planned! 

 Well, we have downsized our belongings in a big, big way.  Learned to live in a small space, and have realized how much we miss having a space to garden, a yard to run in, and simple things like a clothes line! 

Now, we are here to minister to those around us, and are praying and waiting on the Lord to show us how.  We have had some opportunities and have been able to bless those around us in small ways- again, not the ways we expected, but very probably just what the Lord wanted! 

And though we had with much sadness laid our plans on the alter and given up the idea of our little homestead happening soon- that may not be the plan either!  We are praying about purchasing a small amount of land somewhere near here.  Not to live on right away- we will stay here as long as the Lord leads us to do so; but, a place we can garden and have chickens, maybe even a couple of goats or sheep.  A place to do all those things we've planned, and a place we can use to minister to others.  Oh, as my husband and I began to talk about this, all the old dreams, schemes, plans and ideas came bubbling up and the excitement and joy just  at the thought of it was just almost too much!  So.....pray with us if you're led.  That we would have a definite YES from the Lord if this indeed in His will; and that He would lead us to and provide the way for us to purchase a little homestead to bless, honor and glorify Him- for it is all His and for Him anyway!

Sounds like having a little piece of land would be ideal for you. May the Lord's will be done. I'll be praying.
