Friday Fun~ Ideas Anyone???

OK, this doesn't actually have much to do with "homesteading", exactly.  Yet, maybe it does. 

 I'm in need of some ideas from you crafty, nature type people.  You see, today is Friday- the day in our little home/school that we put aside table time and lessons and have fun (unless we've slacked all week and need to catch up)!  My cup is empty of ideas for fun stuff....help!  I'd like to do some sort of nature craft or activity since we've been a bit lacking in the science department lately.  I'm waiting a month or 2 to start the Apologia Botany book...just in time for Spring Gardening! 

OK, so I have 3 darling daughters who are 8, 4, and 3....give me some ideas please!!!

Perhaps I'll take all the old seed packets from my seed basket and we'll make a collage?????

We'll be starting the Botany book this Spring as well, I can hardly wait!!
Yes, so many of my seed packets were SO lovely last year, I thought it a shame to not DO something with them. This year I think we'll use them in our Botany notebook, or nature journals...*somehow*. But I really like your idea of doing a collage... maybe in groupings on individual 8x10 pages, according to the types of seeds, label, date when you planted them, etc. and give them a place in your Botany notebooks...hmmm, I think that's what I'll do! Thanks for the idea!;-)

You can always make a bird feeder and watch the birds that come with it (if you dont have one already!). You can easily make one out of a *gasp* plastic milk jug!!! :) My girls (7 & 5) love the pages about animals that I print off from http://www.enchantedlearning.com . They have educational information on their pages as well as an animal to color. HTH
