What's NewGood Monday morning to all.
This weekend we had fun at our homeschool groups, "End of the Year Picnic". The kids play organized games, then play at the parks playground. We have a BBQ and potluck. The kids are all called up one by one to receive certificates recognizing their accomplishments from the past school year. The adults socialize, play softball, soccer, or ultimate frisbee with the kids.
We have such a great group of families in our support group, it is really a blessing!
I need to focus more on the positive qualities of people. I always tend to focus on the negative and then gossip about it! I know how awful it is to everyone. So I am really going to try and make an effort to change that area of my life! "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!" We have been so busy lately, now things are finally winding down. Our kitchen remodel is pretty much complete. We still need to install the undercabinet lighting, and I am waiting on my pull-out garbage can. It is very nice working in a new kitchen that is pleasing to my eyes and is so functional! I think my favorite thing is my new very deep, stainless steel, one bowl sink! It is so nice to have the room to fit big bowls, pots and pans in to fill up, and wash properly.
I also love my new stove. I really love everything!
I am so appreciative to my husband, who after a hard days work when he was so tired, would come home and work on the kitchen and weekends too! He knew how much it meant to me to have it completed. What a wonderful hubby!
Well, this week I am going to try and de-clutter my house. Since we just moved here almost 2 years ago, I got rid of a lot of stuff then, but things find there way in!
I am always amazed how the junk just accumulates. I am also amazed by how little we can actually get by without! That is one of the goals I am always working on, to only have what I use. To buy quality items that last long time, and not to bring 'junk' into the house! Also to try not to be wasteful or excessive! It is definitely something that needs to be remembered and worked on constantly, but I am always pressing toward that goal!
Another thing I am working on is limiting myself to an hour on-line everyday. So I better say goodbye now. I hope everyone has a glorious day!
