Technical Problems
I'm sorry that I didn't blog much last week. I was busy trying to fix a problem over at my site candyfoote.com. I wasn't receiving emails that were sent through my website. If you signed up for my newsletter, but never heard from me, please sign up again!
I finally got it fixed last night. The problem wasn't the computer or the website afterall. The was me!
I was receiving some nasty emails so I told my computer that it was SPAM. The problem was that they were sending the emails through my website, so my computer thought that any emails coming from candyfoote.com was SPAM!!!
Hmm, I guess I didn't think that one through too much!
Oh, well, it is fixed now, so if you haven't signed up for our family newsletter yet, go do it now!

Pantry
I have been busy building up my pantry again.
When we were preparing to move, I gave most of the food that I had stored to our mission outreach.
That brings me to this post.
What is your reason for stocking a pantry?
I have heard many Christians say that they are preparing a pantry in order to take better care of their families.
That's a good and noble cause, but personally, I believe we should have a higher goal.
Our family is always praying and searching for people to bless. We do this when we have a lot and when we have a little. Giving should be a Christians nature.
I love having a stocked pantry! It makes life so much easier. I love being able to take care of my family. I want to be prepared for whatever life brings.
But, I want to always have a higher goal than just taking care of me and mine.
I believe that hard times are not only here, but worse times are coming for this world. It is the Christians responsibility to be there for others - to let our light shine by meeting real needs.
(The government has been doing the churches job for too long!)
Joseph did not just prepare his own family for coming disaster!
The point being, Joseph did prepare, but it wasn't simply for his own family.
Luke 12:16-21
And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He thought to himself, "What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' "Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded form you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' "This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."
Storing up our pantries is not a bad thing in itself.
My question is what is your purpose for storing up your pantry?

Husband Blessing Day
What are you doing for husband blessing day today.
(I just thought that I should add the fact that everyday is husband blessing day in our home! ;D)
One way to bless your husband is to learn his favorite foods, and actually fix them - cheerfully!
Add a section in your homemaker's notebook entitled, "Blessing My Husband".
Keep track of things that he likes. Add in things that you would love to get or do for him.
Be creative.
Let me know what you come up with.

Bible Study
We had a great Bible Study tonight.
We read Proverbs 10.
We had a great time discussing it.
You can't read Proverbs and walk away thinking that your words don't matter!
It made me think about my book, "The Word of God on the Words of Your Mouth".
Come on church! It's time to line our words up with God's Word!

Embarrassing
This is so embarrassing!
I have a spot on my website http://www.candyfoote.com/
where people can sign up for our newsletter.
As a token of our appreciation, we offer a free sample of one of our e-books.
All of that sounds great, right?
Well, yeah, except for the fact that it is not delivering the emails to me!!!
I have no idea who or how many people have signed up for our newsletter. I have no idea how many people are wondering why they have not received anything from us!
I'm not sure why it is not working.
While I am having these difficulties, I am going to remove this option from our site.
I'm not really sure how else to handle this, except to remove it, and then to post about it on both of my blogs and website.
If you are one of the people who has signed up for our newsletter, please email me at candy@candyfoote.com or simply leave me a message.
I am so sorry about this.
Pray for me to get it all figured out.
Thanks,
~Candy~
Sundays Off
My husband has recommended that I stay off from the computer for at least one day of the week.
Since my eyes and wrists are paying the penalty for all of the computer work that I do all week, I must agree with him.
I guess that means that I must adjust my blog everyday goal for this year.
My newly adjusted goal is to blog everyday, except for Sundays.
On another subject, I have just posted some family pictures to the bottom of my website http://www.candyfoote.com/
Want to see some adventurers of trying to take family photos with 17 people in the family?
Stop over at candyfoote.com and let me know what you think.

Selling Used Books
Boy, do I ever need some help.
We are moving to Alaska. That's the good news.
My New York home is overrun with books. That's the problem.
I have decided to list them on my website http://candyfoote.com/
That could take me a while!!!
Well, I have managed to put a few of them on it.
It seems to take quite a bit of time.
I have included shipping and handling in the listed prices. Not one item is more than $5.00.
Please, please, please check it out!
If you don't see something you are interested in, then check back another day.
It will take me quite awhile to list all of these books.
I really can't take all of these books to Alaska with me.
Thanks,
Candy
