Happy Birthday, Jacob
Today is Jacob's birthday.
I am truly shocked that my little Jacob is thirteen today!
Thirteen!!
How does that happen so quickly?
I have always said that they grew up when I blinked.
Now that my daughter, Jaimie is a mom, she says, "Don't blink, Mom!"
Olivia, our fourteen year old daughter has made out our menu for this week.
She is our major chef this month.
Leave a comment letting Olivia know what you think of her menu.
Monday - homemade pizza and birthday cake
Tuesday - tacos, brown rice, corn, and toss salad
Wednesday - egg salad, chips, and pickles
Thursday - tuna noodle casserole
Friday - boiled dinner
Saturday - breakfast for supper

It's the Week-end
I just jumped on the computer to let everyone know that we are enjoying our week-end. We have two family birthday parties today.
Tomorrow I won't be on the computer at all. Sundays are my day off. Yeah!!
We will be over at my aunt's house singing and playing instruments. Fun, fun, fun!
Leave me a note letting me know your plans.

Yeah, It's Friday!!
We are finishing up our weekly school schedules and looking forward to a family filled week-end.
Our niece, Brittany is suppose to come down for a nice visit.
We have a double birthday party to go to for our great-niece and great-nephew.
The boys will be going to help our pastor move a piano.
It looks like it will be a family, fun-filled week-end!
What does your week-end look like?

Happy Valentine's Day
How are you spending Valentine's Day?
We are spending the day celebrating our little
girl's fourth birthday.
When she was born, the nurse said, "Gee, all
I gave my husband were candles." LOL
Happy birthday, Christina Pearl!
So, what will you be doing today?

Happy Birthday
Today is Judy’s sixth birthday! How did that happen!?!
I have always said, “That’s what happens when I blink!”
Now that my kids are having kids, they keep telling me not to blink!
Well, I have to go get ready for a big birthday party.
Think of me while today. I will be spending my time out in the kitchen cooking between 15 and 20 pizzas for our big family birthday get together!
Have a great week-end! I’ll see you on Monday.

Fun, Fun, Fun
The birthday party was a success.
Everyone had such fun.
There was A LOT of homemade pizza, apple crisp, and carrot cake.
The house was full of extended family. Many of them were braver than I was. They spent their time out in the sub-zero temperatures sledding down hill!
Brrr!!!
Well, today is our last day with Jud.
He is heading back to his new life and ministry in Alaska.
I have really enjoyed having him home.
It was such a blessing to be able to have him home for Christmas and his birthday.
I hope everyone has a great day.
I will be spending my day cleaning up from last night's party.

Happy Birthday, Juddy
I had a great time with my dad yesterday.
We really enjoyed ourselves.
Today is our eldest son, Judson's birthday.
He's 24!!!!!
I'm not sure how that happened sooo fast.
Today will be a wonderful family day.
Aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, brothers, grandparents, and friends will all join us to celebrate.
I will be spending all of my time in the kitchen making about 15 pizzas! (Pizza is our family birthday tradition)
It will be extra special because it will be the last day to see Jud.
He will be leaving for Alaska early the 16th.
How do you celebrate family birthdays?

Happy Anniversary!!
Today is our twentieth wedding anniversary!!
Ahh, I Love Family
My husband, father, grandfather, and I went out to lunch together on Monday.
It was a wonderful time!
I'm almost ashamed to say that this was the first time that I had ever been out to
eat with my grandfather!
His is eighty-one years old!!
I woke up with an unction to call both him and my father and
invited them to lunch.
I was actually a little surprised that they were both home and willing to go at
such short notice!
We went to my grandfather's favorite restaurant - Ponderosa!
Why hadn't we done this before???
What a great memory!
Happy Valentine's Day
Tomorrow is my youngest child's 2nd birthday.
When I was in the hospital having her,
my nurse said, "Gee, all I gave my husband were
candles!" ;D
Family Traditions
Don't you just love family traditions?!?
I absolutely love them!
We have some wonderful traditions that
we do with our family this time of the year.
Family traditions make such wonderful
memories.
Christmas time is a great time to start
family traditions!
My husband takes all of our children out
back to find and cut down our Christmas
tree. Mom gets to stay home and prepare
the hot cocoa and the popcorn. When they
come marching triumphantly home with the best
tree, we make popcorn balls and popcorn and
cranberry garland to string on it. We sing carols
and have a great time.
My husband and I take our eleven children
to the nursing home every Christmas Eve.
The kids walk around handing out stuffed
animals to the residents. We have such a great
time! It only takes a few minutes, but it truly
touches these people. Plus, it gives the kids
a great opportunity to be doing the work of
the ministry. It's hard to believe that we have
been doing this for twelve years!!
Another great tradition is allowing everyone
to open one present on Christmas Eve.
The kids' favorite tradition is the Christmas
day family tradition. We have a pond out back,
so my husband and children can't wait for the big
hockey game. Mom gets to stay home and prepare
the big meal.
On Christmas night, when all of the excitement has
died down, we remind the children of "the reason
for the season" again. Then, Mom breaks out the
"special stockings." I love our "special stockings."
One year they were made out of old blue jeans.
I cut them off to shorts and wrote, "Ride 'em cowboy."
Another year I used cowboy hats.
I would love to hear some of your traditions!!!
