THE WORD OF GOD SERIES BY CANDY FOOTE
Thermostat
We are living a very different life since we moved into this new house. We are loving it to say the least, but there are some things that we need get used to. One of those things is the lack of a wood stove. I love wood heat! Don't you??? The thing is we burn fuel oil here. I must admit, it is very convienent. The house stays toasty warm all night long. When I go to the grocery store, there are no worries about tending fires. There's no carrying in the messy wood. I know it sounds bad, but I really do love wood heat. I'm trying to get used to burning fuel oil. It seems that I am always over at the thermostat. It seems too hot when the furnance is on, but it seems too cold when the furnance is off. LOL I'm sure I will get used to it. I spend a lot of time putting my sweater on and taking it back off too. Oh well, so far the advantages of this new house far out way the disadvantages! How do you heat your home? ~Candy~

I love it, but it is a lot of work! Can't beat the price, though,....it's free heat!

We have a furance that runs on propane. Which is very expensive right now. So we try to keep it as low as possible and use our fireplace to keep the edge off the cold. We are hoping to install a woodburner in the basement at the end of this winter season for next. We are hoping to get a deal on a woodburner as many of the stores will put them on clearance after winter around here. This should help with the heating bills next year.

We heat with a gas furnace. I keep it set at 66 so I know what you mean about putting on the sweater and taking it off.
