THE WORD OF GOD SERIES BY CANDY FOOTE
I'm Going Bananas!!!!
I'm not kidding! I am seriously going bananas!
I picked up a huge, huge, huge, (boy, do I wish I had a picture to show you), huge box of bananas at Save-a-Lots for $8.00.
I gave a bunch to my father, the kids have eaten bunches and bunches, and my oldest daughter made batches and batches of banana bread.
I am trying an experiment I heard about that said you could freeze bananas. I wrapped 12 bunches of bananas in aluminum foil, then put them into freezer bags. I read that the skins will turn black, but the bananas will stay good.
I still have many bunches left!!!!
Any banana recipes you would like to share?!?
Please!!!!

Oh, my grandmother used to freeze bananas like this for us kids when we were younger. The skins do turn black, but the bananas are still good. We ate them fresh out of the freezer like banana popsicles! LOL I loved them!

We make
tons of banana bread and freeze it so we have to share when guests come unexpectantly or we want something different and fun for breakfast. Enjoy your blessings!!! Mrs. Joseph Wood

Talk about timing! I just made this recipe from some really overripe bananas (as in black skinned)! It's in the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook in the cake section and I made the cream cheese frosting that's at the end of that section - it is absolutely delicious!
