Hi, my name is Blake, I'm 18 years old and am currently in Bible college! I am the oldest out of 4 kids and live on a lake. I love poetry and writing it is my favorite past time. Getting Lost in Orlando!

Ok, now with a title such as "Getting Lost in Orlando" I'm sure I've caught everyone's attention!!  But yes, that is not just an eye catcher, that actually happened to me today on my way home from my church to my host's house.....I was on I-4 heading towards Michigan st., well I pasted Kaley, the exit before my exit and I was all attentive to looking for my exit!! Now it really wasn't my fault I missed my turn, I couldn't get over! Long story short I instead of getting off at Michigan st. I ended up getting off at John Young Parkway and turned around like you wouldn't believe!!  I called my host close to crying telling her that I was lost! She helped me out to get home! But I ended up going toward Tampa!!!! I needed to go east and instead ended up going west! Didn't quite make it to Tampa thank God I was able to turn around and go east towards my house!  Well about 20min after getting turned around I was back at my host's house!! It was indeed an adventure! Hopefully the last one of that nature!!

Names!

Today I am on a name quest! I am looking for names that I would want to name my future children! Just something I felt like doing at the moment, 3 names I have picked out  for my sons are Josiah, Issac, and Isaiah! I really have fallen in love with the name Josiah!  For my boy I want a name that means greatness, that God's favor will be on him all his life. I have looked up what exactly this name means and thought it perfect for my son. It's Hebrew and means "Fire of the Lord", and it's bible verse is  1Corinthians 2:7, "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory". How wonderful is that?  Now that I had told you all about my choices for the names of my future sons, I would like to tell you about the names of my future daughters.  This was just a little easier to pick out then the names of the boys. So far I have chosen, Emily, Rebekah, Sarah and Abigail. All wonderful names but I am favoring the names Emily and Abigail. Emmy and Abby if you will! :) The name Emily  I got from my Mom, it's one of her favorites and a sweet name for that matter. It's German and means " Eager, Purified" how lovely! The virse to go with this name is from Matthew 5:16 " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven."  Now the name Abigail is one of my all time favorite names for a little girl ever! :) This name is Hebrew and means "My Father Rejoices, Cherished of God" That's exactly what I want for my little girl! I want her to know that she is not only cherished by me and her Daddy but also by her heavenly Father! The scripture to go with this name is Zephaniah 3:17 "The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." How beautiful! My children, no matter how many God blesses me with will all be cherished, loved, and rejoiced over my their heavenly Father and their earthly parents!

O Boy!

Well today is Sunday the 12th of August. Today, I'm not exactly myself. I actually believe it's all starting to dawn on me what's going on! I mean, a week from today my boyfriend is moving to Tampa to attend USF! It's kind of a scary thought because 2 weeks after he leaves I leave for my school  in Orlando. Well,   I'm really not all that weired out by my leaving as much as I am for his leaving! I am going to miss him like crazy yes, but his departure begins a whole new life for me, for us! Yes, we are staying together through school, we're not "breaking up" or anything like that, what I'm saying here, is that everything is going to be different after he leaves.   I really don't know how to put it all into words, it's just like well, one door opening another door closing! I don't know what's going to happen in the future, all I know is that God is in control and whatever happens will be his will.

Praises to God

We all must praise and glorify this Man
Who shows us how to love, worship, and care
For no one but only the True God can
Even while He is tied, whipped, and stripped bare


He shows mercy to the helpless and weak
Always giving them what they truly need
Rising sinners up from a world so bleak
Working to save all who want to be freed


So bow down and pray for his compassion
And see that his forgiving heart will show
As it appears in a timely fashion
Restoring hope and faith to all who know


This man is the only savior for us
He is the one whom we all call Jesus

First Entry!

Hello everyone! This is my first real blog entry! I am excited to get one!!! My mom got me hooked I must  be honest! I love writing and she thought I would enjoy this! So far so good!  I really don't know what to write about on here,but I'll soon think of something. I was just so thrilled about getting a blog that I had to write something on here! :)
