Blessings From Home | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Thursday ThoughtsWe got a late start today, but the afternoon has turned out to be busy. After lunch, we went to do our shopping. We had extra shopping to do, because tomorrow is my middle daughter's birthday. I sadly hadn't done any birthday shopping yet, so I had to get all that done today too. Yesterday our dog, Gracie, ran away...again. Fortunately a lady a couple of blocks over found her and called the pound. So she's home again, little stinker. We're home for the day after our shopping excursion and we have a lot of cleaning to get done for the company that will be coming over tomorrow. We're just having a small family party. I have let Madelynn pick all her favorites for the day's meals. She picked a more expensive cereal (a treat they only get for their birthdays), so she picked cookie crisp. For lunch, she's taking a pb sandwich, she usually eats lunch at school, and for dinner, she requested a cookout with hotdogs and hamburgers and mom's homemade coleslaw and potato salad. And for her cake, I'm making her favorite too. A strawberry jello cake with whipped cream and sprinkles. Housing update: Hubby and I are still talking and praying over what we are going to do. We both want so much to move out to the country, but right now, it just may not be time for that. We're discussing a couple of different options. 1. Rent until we can afford to buy a house in the country, which would mean having to move to another rent house before winter time only to move again. or 2. Buying a house in town that needs some work and updating and buy it for a reasonable price and fix it up. We're actually looking at one right now that is a 4 bedroom/2 bath home for about 49,900. It's a nice house but it needs several updates and just some general maintenance. Things like central heat and air, new floors in some of the rooms, etc. We could live there for a while, 3-5 years, fix it up, and then try and sell it for a profit. This is the more reasonable thing to do for us. But as I said, we're still praying and thinking over it all right now. Well, it's back to work for now. I pray your day is a blessed one! { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 26 of 397 } { Next Page } |
