Blessings From Home

What a Storm!

Last night we had a major thunderstorm come through our area. It was a loud one too. I remember hearing one loud clash of thunder that made me literally jump out of my bed, and thinking, Ok, Lord, you've got my attention. lol.

My son hates t-storms and always ends up in bed with me during a bad one like we had last night. However my 2 girls could sleep through a tornado if I let them, but I swear if a mouse broke wind in the corner of their room, they'd wake up in a second. lol.

It looks like we have clear skys for the remainder of the week and most of next week which will be nice after the last  couple of days of downpour. Something funny happened this morning and I assume it is because of all the rain, but I still can't figure how in the world an earthworm got into my house. There it was, my cat torturing it, laying in the middle of the den. I put it in a jar and went and got a little dirt so that my kids could check it out before we let it loose.

Today we have a busy day at home, although we may get out after hubby gets home. I have a list a mile long to get done, so here it goes.....

~Wash, dry, and put away 3 loads of laundry-whites, denim, darks

~Unload/Reload dishwasher

~Wash up all handwashables

~Straighten throughout the house

~Pack and Clean as I go

~Make a batch of muffins for snack and breakfast
