Monday MadnessThis weekend has been so crazy and it seems the week will get only crazier. Friday, my husband and I went and test drove a 1980 Chevy Truck. It wasn't something we had planned, but the price was right and we really needed a second vehicle and especially a truck, so we bought it. It runs good, but it needs a lot of cosmetic work. It will be a nice project truck for him. Saturday we spent the day yard saling and packing. I know, why would you want to go yard saling when you just have to pack it up. But it was yet another unplanned activity in our weekend. And we didn't really buy that much, although I did find the back to basics book from reader's digest for 1 dollar. Sunday, I completely packed up my son's room and cleaned it out and we took some stuff over to the new house. And we made another purchase. The people who are moving out of the house we're moving into had a yard sale, and they had two things I couldn't resist. One was an old fashioned working Singer treadle sewing machine, and the other was a deep freezer. Before you think I'm made of money from all my purchases, I'm not. I got the sewing machine and the deep freeze both for 75 dollars. Wow! And since they're good friends of ours, we can pay them out. Today, we had to go and get the title transferred and get a tag for hubby's new truck, and I also went down to our landlord's store and looked at a really nice bunkbed set that we are also going to buy and pay it off over the next couple of months. It came with 2 really nice dressers too. And it seems I got somewhat of a new job starting soon. Starting next month, just on Saturdays, I will be working at our landlord's antique store downtown. That will help us out so much! And it will only be 6 hours on Saturdays, so no big deal. In other news, The grease burn I recieved last week, is not looking very pretty. I have lots of blisters and scarring already. Who knew a grease burn could be so bad. Also, the pregnancy exhaustion is still here for now, but I am managing to push past it to get stuff done. I still haven't managed to figure out what I'm going to do for a doctor, or if we'll do a homebirth, or what. I guess I'll figure all of that out after we get moved. The rest of the week will be lots of packing and moving, and busyness. I'm calling today to get the utilities transferred, so I probably won't have service for a while. So until then, Have a blessed week! sara { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 39 of 397 } { Next Page } |
