Blessings From Home

The Week Ahead

The last couple of days has been uneventful but busy. My husband helped me finish up cleaning out the back room of the house where we stored the majority of our "stuff". It has all been sorted packed and moved to the front of the house. I cleaned the room top to bottom and sealed the door and told everyone to stay out of there.

That was yesterday, today has been a lazy day, and not by choice. The one thing I really dread about pregnancy is the first few weeks of extreme exhaustion. And right now, with us moving in about 2 weeks, it is not a time for me to not have the energy to do anything. My energy level picks up somewhere in the afternoon and I use it for all I've got. The rest of the day is spent sitting, then getting up and doing something, say loading the dishwasher, or exchanging the laundry out, and then sitting back down for a while. At least a few things are getting done. I can't express how thankul I will be once this move is over.

I've been setting myself small attainable goals for each day and making sure that I'm getting help from the kids for the things I know they can do. I've also started taking a nap in the afternoon with my daughter. Even if I only get 30 minutes, I usually feel so much better. I know this time will only last a short while and I'll soon be able to experience the lovely energy that usually comes with the 2nd trimester.

The rest of the week will look much like today. Sitting and resting mixed with getting a couple things done. My sister or my good friend will hopefully be able to come and help me do some packing this weekend.

I need to make a decision on what I will do for a doctor or find out if I will be able to use a midwife this week. My regular O.B. no longer lives here and I honestly would like to try a home birth this time if at all possible. We'll see.

My pantry challenge is going well. I can actually see the back of my fridge for once. lol. My pantry is still rather full, but it will start thinning out within the next day or two. Well, it's nearing my bedtime. I pray your evening and the remainder of your week is a blessed one.

Good to hear you are taking it easy and resting when you need it. A nap can do wonders. How nice it is that hubby is helping you. I hope your sister can come to help. God Bless. mj
