A Beautiful Day and Becoming a homeowner again

The time change really messed me up this morning and we ended up not making it to church. I really hate to miss church, I always feel so uplifted and it really helps me through my week. So after a late start to our morning, we ended up going outside all afternoon. It was a glorious day! I love this weather! The kids played and had such fun and I cleaned out the shed and got everything straightened up.

It looks to be spring weather all week, so we will be spending a lot of time outside this week enjoying the sunshine.

I was thinking, if only this were my home and not a rental, I would be out there tilling up an area to plant my garden. There's still time though. We're praying through this right now, but my husband's parents called us this weekend and told us that they're tired of seeing us throw our money away on renting and they willing to do whatever it takes to help us buy a home. So, wow! It looks like we're buying a home! Praise the Lord!

So with that said, I would love to find the first home in the country that I can find, but it's just not feasible, so instead we're choosing to find a nice home, in town, that we can fix up and live in for a while. We're looking in the price range of under 60, 000 dollars, which is not a lot but we've found one that we like for 53,900 that is a repo home. It's got 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a nice big den, and a decent backyard. It needs a lot of cosmetic work, but otherwise is in good condition. We'll start the process this week and go from there.

The week ahead looks to be uneventful, with the exception of Friday, which is hubby and I's 9 year anniversary. Still not sure what we'll do, but we'll probably go to dinner and maybe bowling.
