No more babysitting and other daily muttering...After much prayer through the day, I finally made the decision to not babysit anymore. When my friend called, I told her that my family had to come first and that my husband and I felt that I was not able to keep up with everything while babysitting. I told her I would love for her to come visit on the weekends every now and then and he could play with my kids and we could visit. I did agree to go ahead and keep him next Saturday night because her husband and her had already made plans and couldn't cancel. So he'll be here most all of next weekend. After talking with her, I felt such a deep relief. I told my husband that we would definately cut costs in other areas. For instance instead of replacing the tv in our living room that went out, we'll just use the one in our bedroom (that I never liked being in there anyways), and I'd also like to cut back on utilities and such a little more. Not to mention cutting back in the grocery department. I was chatting with Sister Lori yesterday about her move and how things were going and shared with her how much I wanted to move out to the country, but it just didn't seem possible for us any time soon. And while chatting with her, I remembered an old family friend of ours that owns a house with pens and a barn in front of some land that my parents own. He doesn't actually live in the house, but he does use the pens and barn for raising roosters and such. He's getting quite up in age and isn't able to take care of things like he used to which led me to think, that maybe he would let us move out there and live in that house and help him take care of his roosters and such and fix up the house in exchange for very cheap or no rent. The house is quite small and needs some work, but is liveable. And we may be able to buy the house and barn from him and the land from my parents and that'll give us about 4 acres. It's not something that I'm going to get my hopes up with, but it's definately something to look into. I'll probably do some calling around tomorrow and see what I can find out. Well, that's all from me for now. Have a blessed night. Sara { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 173 of 474 } { Next Page } |
