Blessings From Home

Windy Wednesday

And boy do I mean windy! I think I'd blow away if I went outside. Today I woke up with a strong feeling that I should stop babysitting. I don't know where it came from. The little boy hasn't been here all week, so I'm not overwhelmed by him. And I just found this odd, especially since I'd already made myself okay with keeping him. Maybe the Lord has put this on my heart for a reason.

It could be because I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by things here already. My Emily is very sick and my house is kind of messy. It also could be when I said that he would probably be here tomorrow if Emily was feeling better that all my kids groaned. And then again, it could be something that the Lord is just pressing upon my heart. I'm not sure what to think of it. I know I'm going to talk it over with my husband before I take any action. I will not be keeping him all week, because it seems as if Emily is getting worse and I'll be taking her to the doctor tomorrow.

Well, we spent yesterday afternoon trading in our vehicles for a newer van. It was a bittersweet thing. We went from 2 cars to 1 and one of the cars that we traded in was my grandma's car that was given to us when she passed away 3 years ago. So far I really love our new van. It runs so much better than my old one which had a habit of dying on me at intersections. So I am very thankful for a new vehicle.

Today will be a day at home with a few errands this afternoon when my husband gets home. I've got lots to do around here today.

Some of the things to do today are...

laundry and dishes, that's a neverchanging duty

taking care of my sick little one

school

Pick up throughout the house

Do zonework

Bake some bread

and I almost forgot that we'll be going over to the in-laws for dinner tonight. They are leaving tomorrow and we won't be seeing them for about 5-6 months. I'm so excited sad that they're going, but thankful that we can get back to normal around here. It seems our lives are always turned upside down when they're here.

Listen to that feeling, and pray about it. God will tell you what you need to know and protect you from what you don't need to know.

The wind here yesterday was awful as well......blowing so hard the windows rattled just a little. (old house)
