Choosing to have a better day

Did you know you can choose to have a better day? I didn't until recently. I would wake up and always say...another busy day, diapers, dishes, and laundry...and then pull the covers over my head and hope nobody noticed. Well, today I decided would be different. After some very sweet comments on my post yesterday about babysitting the little 2 year old boy, I realized I was not showing this little boy that I really cared about him. I was too busy "dealing" with him and his bad behaviour. I wasn't being mean to him by any means, I just didn't take the chance when he was being good, however short a time span that may be to show him I really did care about him. To give him a hug, to play with him, or to just let him sit with me. 

So today, that is just what I'm doing. Trying to have a better outlook on everything. I spoke with my husband last night about it, and he agreed that although he thought that it would be a good idea to let someone else take care of him since I'm having trouble keeping up with the school work, that until we get our tax return and get some of our bills paid off, that I should keep watching him. I agreed that that was a good idea and will continue to keep him at least until the end of the month.

And as usual, today is a busy day, but as I said, I'm going to keep a good attitude about it, and remember how good it feels at the end of the day to have accomplished so much. On the agenda for today will be dishes, laundry, straightening, school, and hopefully some sewing. I'll be joining in with homestead mama's quilt block of the month as soon as I finish with Deanna's quilt block exchange.

Our tv in our living room is on the blink, literally. It keeps blinking off and on. It doesn't bother me or the kids, but it's driving my husband crazy. I think we'll be getting rid of it and just putting our tv that's in our bedroom in the living room. That's fine with me. I don't like having a tv in our bedroom.

Good for you for choosing to have a beter attitude about all things today!!! I have to remind myself as well sometimes!!!
