Blessings From Home | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Tuesday at HomeThank goodness for good nights....What a day! Nothing spectacular happened, it just seems like I just now sat down and took my first deep breath all day. The little boy that I have been babysitting had a very bad day today. His dad just left for his oil rig job for a couple months and I could tell he was feeling sad, but he just was upset all day, and he kept acting out by being mean and taking toys away from others. Nap time was also quite a challenge. I have managed to find a routine that is working for us, which is to lay the two little ones down for a nap at 1pm and immediately start school with my oldest. It worked wonderfully the last 2 days I have had to babysit, but today everytime I stepped out of the room, the little guy just screamed. He finally gave it up and went to sleep, but then my oldest was not wanting to cooperate and was not behaving appropriately, so we cut our lesson a little short with extra lessons prepared for tomorrow. We also had a paint guy our landlady hired to come and repair the ceilings in our living room where we had leaks, and he ended up waking the littles from their nap. After that, the little boy got picked up by his grandma and I headed out the door to get my tag, and then to do my 2 week shopping trip. I usually go on Thursday but we're expecting some very cold weather over the next couple of days and since I'm now babysitting I am going to be switching my day of shopping to Saturday out of necessity. Just not enough time in the week to get it all done. One benefit I am seeing from taking on this babysitting job is that it is forcing me and my kids into a routine. I have to get up in the morning and get dressed before he gets dropped off. The kids are all woke up, because this little guy is very noisy and in order to get our school work done, I have to lay the littles down right after lunch. I am not able to get online as much either. In fact the only time I really find is to get on here in the evening. I am hoping that things will only continue to improve and that we will soon start to make some big progress. Well, my bed is calling. I am so tired in the evenings I can't wait to fall into bed. Have a blessed evening! Sara { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 198 of 491 } { Next Page } |
