7 Days 'til Christmas!

Yesterday was productive, although not as much as I'd have liked it to be. I spent at least 3 hours just working through reading, writing, and arithmetic with my son as he was not paying attention to half of what I said. Today I've decided to just do some fun worksheets with him. I want him to stay busy, but with so many things to do, I can't spend so much time on his school work with him this week. I'm excited for Christmas to be here, but I am also ready to move on past it and get back to our regularly scheduled program. lol.

My husband and I are considering a move. I'm still not sure about it right now, more praying to do. We live in a nice big house with a nice big rental fee, and it's kind of hard on us. The house we are looking at is 2 bedrooms and the one we live in is 4, but the rent there would be 375 a month and right now, we're paying 600 a month, yes, I said 600! A few reservations I have right now are 1) moving in the winter, 2) if we move now, we'll lose our deposit on this house. 3) My kids will all have to share one room. This is not something I'm against, I'm just not sure how it will work, and we may have to purchase a bunk bed. 4) The house we're looking at doesn't have a storage building, which is something important to my husband to store his lawn mower and such. 5) It doesn't have central heat and air, but it does have a wall furnace instead of a floor furnace. I can live without central heat and air, but it sure is nice to have. We would save 225 a month by moving! That's a big savings! This move would also mean downsizing...big time. Which I sort of consider a good thing. I've been wanting to simplify, and this may be just what we need in order to do just that. There's still a lot of factors to consider and some praying to do. We'll be going this afternoon to look at the house and talk to the landlords. I'll update later on how it goes.

The rest of my day will be filled with busyness. I've got cleaning, baking, and crafting to do. My list for today is...

~Finish up what didn't get finished yesterday.

~Bake 2 more loaves of bread. I'll be making bread to give as gifts, so I'll probably be making 2 loaves a day for the rest of the week.

~Wash the darks

~Go through the house picking up and putting away as much as I can

~Gather up all the trash, and take it out.

~Keep the kitchen cleaned up.

~Go look at rent house

~Cub scouts tonight at 7pm

~Dinner tonight is red beans and rice.
