Blessings From Home

We're still here and still warm

Praise the Lord for that! Several thousand just in our area are still without power and heat. So please continue to keep them in your prayers. We have managed to keep electricity for almost 2 days now. We're looking at freezing temps today, a warm up tomorrow, and snow the next two days after that. Then temps should start to warm up a bit.

Yesterday proved to be quite a productive day! My kids went for a visit to my parents to get out of the house for a bit and my husband and I went through all their toys and got rid of 4 big paper sacks full and a big trash bag full of trash. Can you believe that? I still plan to go through and get rid of more. Actually what got me spurred on to do some decluttering was reading Little House on the Praire with my kids and how Laura and Mary were perfectly content with their little baby dolls, Laura's was just a little cornhusk doll. And here my children are with tons of baby dolls and baskets of toys. It was such a blessing to be able to get rid of so much and the peace that came with getting rid of it all.

Today will be a busy one. My friend is coming over with her boys for lunch. Then we will spend the rest of the day doing some more decluttering, cleaning, and baking. I pray that you are all abundantly blessed!

I am surprised still some that don't have power? Oh my! That is a long time -- we were out for the day yesterday..... but received it last night and we have a warm heat in our school house that does not require power - gas radiant wall heater.... wonderful!

Hope that things warm up for you there in OK!
