I thought this would be so much fun to start doing. I am always so encouraged by all of you ladies and maybe some day I will be able to encourage others in their walk to being a Proverbs 31 woman.

- Give some general info about your family: # of kids and ages (if you feel comfortable giving that info out), # of years as a SAHM, does your husband work at home or outside the home?

I have 3 children (for now). There's Nicholas who is 7 years old, Madelynn who is 5, and Emily who is 2. I have been a SAHM off an on since I was pregnant with Nicholas, but for so long fought staying at home. I would work for a couple of years and then stay home for a couple years, but I'm proud to say  that I have accepted my role as a SAHM and love it! I don't want to ever have to work away from my family again. As of this time, I have been a SAHM for a year. My husband works outside the home building extravagant and not so extravagant horse trailers for a very nice company. He is the hardest working man I know.

- Do you work in or outside of the home? If so, how many hours per week and what is your schedule like?

As of right now, I do not do any kind of outside work away or at home. I have been doing some researching and am considering starting a job from home making and selling all natural soaps and other crafts that I enjoy doing.  I do keep a busy schedule homeschooling my children, and taking care of my family, but am hoping to find some way of making a little extra income to help my husband out.

- What helps you get through your week? Do you use a planner or "to-do" list? Are you organized or do you fly by the seat of your pants?

I am a planner, most definately. I make plans to plan. I have my to do lists ready every day, now the only problem is the other part of me that is a procrastinator. There are some days, I just wake up and just go, go, go, without a list, but those are few and far between.

- Do your children help around the house? chores? cooking? If they don't do much, do you wish they did more?

My children do help me out a lot. I don't have them on any kind of set chore list or schedule, which they need to be, but they help me regularly in every day things. I have trouble handing things over to my children to just do it on their own. I hover over them when I could just let them do things for themselves even if it's not just so. I have a kitchen helper every day. They get to help me clean the kitchen and cook the meals. I alternate every night. Even my youngest gets to help.

- What do you want to do better? What area of your life is a stumbling block for you? Would you like prayer for a specific thing this week?

I am a perfectionist. Some days if I can't do things just right, I just won't do it. Just like handing over responsibilities to my children. I hover over them...refolding towels when they're not just right(always without them knowing ofcourse), when the way they do it is just as good as I could have, because the job is getting done. My son is old enough to have so much more responsibility than he does have and I have to recognize that. My perfectionism runs so deep that even with my Bible reading time and alone time with the Lord, I have such a hard time getting up in the morning and doing that before everyone else is up, and because in mind I think I have to do it first thing in the morning, if it doesn't get done then, it doesn't get done. See what I mean. I have to let go of my perfectionism and just do what needs to be done.

I really enjoyed this. It almost felt like therapy getting it all out there. I can't wait to see what others have to share and what we get to talk about next week.

Blessings,

Sara

So glad you joined in! You and I sound a lot alike regarding the perfectionism!

I have that same type of personality as well. Then there are those times where I will not go to bed unless the home is in order.lol Even if it means staying up till 2 in the morning. Welcome to the meme group
