On the Mend

It seems as if all are on the mend, more or less. My little guy has gone all night without waking and his fever although still present is only getting up to 100 degrees at the most instead of those 103's. He's still kind of weak and not hungry for much, but he's slowly getting better.

My middle daughter woke up in the night crying and screaming and nearly throwing up, but it was short lived as she was fine within 10 minutes and went back to bed. I kept her home today as I was worried she might have the stomach bug, but so far she seems to be fine.

My youngest, with the exception of a little bit of a cough is all better. And as for me, I'm still struggling a little bit with a stuffy nose and cough, but feeling a lot better. Praise the Lord!

Today will be a busy day at home. I have so much to do that just got put on the back burner while we were all not feeling well. The dishes got behind, the house is a big mess, and the laundry is growing by the minute. We also need to finish decorating for Christmas. The dentist appointment is going to be postponed until next week so that all are healthy.

I have a feeling that today will be a 15 minute day. That's one of those days that I take my timer and work at things 15 minutes at a time. Usually it goes something like this. I set the timer for 15 minutes and go and clean something, say the kitchen. After the timer goes off, I will go and work on some sewing or hand work for 15 minutes. Then, when it goes off, I'll go straighten the living room for 15 minutes then back to sewing or handwork for 15 minutes. This is a good way for me to get to several different things done around the house including making time for sitting and sewing, especially now, when I have so many Christmas presents to get done. So that will be my day for now. For dinner we are having a nice pork roast with some salad and veggies and probably some mashed potatos. I pray your day is abundantly blessed!

Sorry to hear the children are ill.
My kids have been ill as well -- last week most were sick one day or another...... this is the flu season and we are really building our immune system with lots of vitamic c, fresh fruits and lots of sleep & hot soup!
Hope they are all on the mend soon,

What a great idea! I am going to have to try it. It also sounds like a good idea for a child who has problems with completing their school work. Thanks for mentioning it!

I'm so glad to see that your son is feeling better--I prayed for him. I have done the 15 minute thing myself, when there is so much to do and I feel like I will never get around to it all. Hope your son continues to mend and you have a great week!
