A Challenge

{ 10:16, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 } { 4 comments } { Link }
Earlier this evening, Rashel challenged me to get something done in my home....and I didn't get it until we got home from the Christmas lighting ceremony at around 8pm. But I can't turn down a challenge. lol. So I got busy. I wasn't able to accomplish near what my dear friend did, but I did something. I set the timer and told the kids to help me pick up the family room for 10 minutes and they would get a small treat. So we got all the "stuff" picked up and put away first. Then I went in the kitchen and unloaded and reloaded my dishwasher, washed a few hand washables. Then I deboned a chicken that had been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days and was taking up a lot of space. Now I have some cooked chicken for a dinner or soup one night. Then I got the coffee pot ready to go for in the morning. Nothing gets me out of bed like the smell of fresh brewed coffee (insert folger's commercial here, lol). I also checked and filled my pill box with my daily vitamins. I have to tell you, I took my vitamins this morning for the first time in weeks, and I feel so much better than I have in a long time. Well, I'll check in tomorrow. Have a good night.

Yeah! Good to hear you are feeling a bit better -- vitamins do wonders! I always take my vit B complex, cal - mag and vitamin C each and every day! Keeps me healthy and sane! :)

I am so proud of you for taking the challenge even though you got it late. Doesn't it feel good to have the house ready for the next day? You got quite a bit done for the time you had. Thanks for taking the challenge!
Blessings,
Rashel

I can get a lot done when I set the timer and have the children help me. We make a game out of it.
We do a house pick up every night before getting ready for bed.
It makes all the difference in the world on how our day will go if we start the day with a house that is in order. I am not saying clean, just in order.
If the house is dirty but in order and someone walks in, they don't notice the dirty like they would the clutter.

Sounds like you're getting on top of things....one little thing at a time, remember.....and as Flylady says "bless your family" with even just one little thing. It DOES make a difference. I"m new here and I've just added you to my friends list. Stop by and visit sometime!
