Blessings From Home

Are we there yet?

These past few days have just been a whirlwind of activities and busyness. I hope to have a few pictures up tomorrow sometime. I'm so tired right now and ready to fall into bed....but thought I would post for a few minutes while I waited on some laundry to finish up so I can put it in the dryer.

Saturday I spent most of the day sewing and baking cookies to bring to the Harvest days get together out at someone's farm. We had such a great time! I am so mad at myself though, because I totally forgot my camera....oh well. We got to roast hot dogs on an open fire (and marshmallows). They had a huge maze set up with hay bales for the kids to play in (and on), and then we got to go on a hayride underneath the stars. It was amazing! It made my desire for the country life so much stronger. Not that I don't know farm life is not all fun and good times...I can only imagine the work it takes to keep a farm going.

Sunday morning I got up early and finished some sewing up for our harvest day at church. I do have a good picture of the kids and I all dressed up for that. We went to Sunday school, and church..and then after church was the big chili cookoff. We all ate outside, and it was kind of windy, so that made for some interesting eating. hehe. The rest of my Sunday was spent relaxing. I even got a nap in. It was a really nice afternoon.

Which brings us to today. Hmmm? What did I do today? I guess just the normal stuff. A little housework, a little homeschool, the usual. This evening, my middle daughter who is still in public school (for now) had a little music show to put on for the PTO. She did really good. That girl sure does love to sing. I also did something else today that I have been praying over for a bit...I went ahead and bought an actual homeschool curriculum for our son. This will have to be another post as I don't have the energy to explain it tonight. But I think it is what we truly needed to do.

Well, as I said, I'm too tired, I can hardly keep my eyes open. I will get on here tomorrow and put up some pictures and maybe a recipe or two. I pray your days are blessed abundantly!
