Thursday on the go

As yesterday was an at home day, today was full of busyness. I made a picnic for the children and I to go out and enjoy at the park, and then let them play for a while as the weather was just so beautiul. It was even hard for me to want to leave. After we ate and played for a while, we made our weekly trip to the library where my son was able to sign up for his very own library card. Oh, how excited he was!

While at the library I got lots of good books to go along with our studies for this next week and we picked out a couple of movies to watch this weekend. I found something that I thought some of you might be interested in here . It's called Core Knowledge Lesson plans. It's got lesson plans layed out for every subject through 8th grade. I have found it very useful and pulled a few things from the science, history, and  arts/music lesson plans to use with Nicholas.

After the library, we came home shortly so as to be here when Madelynn arrived home and then we went to the store to pick up our supplies for the week. I was so proud that I got all I needed to get us through the next week for 20 dollars less than what I normally spend per week. And I even through in a few unneccesary goodies for us.

Once at home, I put groceries away, and we had a leftovers night. I had an abundance of leftovers accumulating in my fridge and didn't want them to go to waste.

Now all are in bed and I am soon to head there myself. I have been struggling with a bit of a headache all day and am anxious to rest my head on my fluffy pillow.

Tomorrow will be a busy at home day as there are a lot of things that need tending to. The animals need some special attention. The fish bowl needs cleaning, the dog needs bathing, and the cat and dog bowls need a good washing. The house also needs some special attention as I have let a few things slip over the last few days. As usual laundry to do, a kitchen to clean, things to pick up. I also am packing up a box of things to set out for habitat for humanity people to come pick up tomorrow. I am bound and determined to clean out my van which has been a mess for many weeks now. And also my purse needs a good decluttering.

Well, as I said, I am off to bed. I am trying to make a habit of not getting on here until the evening when all is done and I can relax and truly enjoy my time on here. I pray all of you had an abundantly blessed day and a pleasant evening!

Your picnic sounds like a wonderful idea. I'll have to do that with mine once the rains end and we have cool weather.
