Wednesday-Partial Desk and Cleaning Day

~Today I woke up right on time, and took the dog out, but will admit, after hubby left for work, I dozed off waiting for the clock to roll around to 6:30am, when I get the kids up. So after dozing, I got up, prepared the kid's breakfast of cereal and leftover biscuits, and got them up. After they ate, they got dressed, and Maddy was on the bus to school by 7:20am. Nicholas did not attend school again today, and if you've haven't read my previous post will likely not be returning.

~So, after assessing the situation with my son, and trying to figure out what I needed to do next...I decided to make an appointment with his pediatrician...and then talk to hubby when he comes home for lunch.

~We spent the morning doing our usual Wednesday to-do's. I did some laundry...denim today, did my kitchen chores, made my menu and shopping list for the next week, got the bills ready to pay, and cleaned the fridge out a bit. Then at 11am, we prepared for hubby to come home for lunch. Today we had hot dogs and leftover coleslaw. I fixed my honey's plate and when he got home, he watched the kids for a minute while I ran over to my son's school to pick up his schoolwork and talk to his teacher, a conversation you can also read about in my previous post. Then I came home, and my husband and I had a short conversation about what we should do, because we both knew we couldn't just keep calling him in sick, so we decided that it was time for him to be homeschooled. Praise the Lord! I was so excited!

~Our afternoon was spent finishing up some chores...helping my son with his homework..(I wanted to keep him busy today, and didn't have anything prepared, so he just did his homework)...and I spent some time frantically searching the web for info....all the while thinking...I'm a homeschooler...now what?!

~At 2:45pm, Maddy arrived home and an hour later everyone was all here...hubby, and our nieces. I fixed everyone snacks, and then proceeded to go ahead and start dinner. For dinner, I made homemade pizzas and a green salad. After dinner, I sat down and watched a baseball game (Rangers vs. white sox) with my hubby and crocheted on my dishclothes a while. (Have I mentioned we're a baseball family?)

~Our nieces went home and then it was time for the kids to go to bed. Nicholas had a bath earlier in the day, so I just washed everyone off and helped them get ready for bed.

~Now, I'm taking a blogging break, and when I'm done here, I'll go finish loading the dishwasher and take a shower, and let the dog out and then read until I fall asleep. And there you have it, that was my Wednesday. Tomorrow will be a busy errand day for us, doctor, grocery store, and we may make a run up to the city to look at the christian book store and see if they're having any sales on curriculum....still not sure what I'm going to do yet?
