Wednesday Whims

Today it is a beautiful day outside! The sun is shining brightly, just enough breeze to keep you cooled, and with the absence of rain for the last week or so, the mosquitos have gotten a bit better. I'm hoping to be able to throw the kids out there in a while to run off some of this excess energy.  I have to say even with the beautiful weather, I'm a bit on the grumpy side today for some reason. Not sure why, maybe it's because the kids are making me a little batty. Please understand, I can handle my own children with little to no trouble, but my nieces come in and always seem to bring chaos with them. I would love to tell my sister in law to find someone else, but we've accrued some bills coming up that we need the extra money for. Our car insurance went up, and we have to start paying on my student loans this month. I'm just not sure how to get a handle on them all, but I have got to figure something out.

I need to go to the store, it seems I'm out of everthing, but at the same time, I know if I just went in the kitchen and put in a little effort we could make it at least through the week. For instance, we're out of cereal....but I have oatmeal and we can eat hot oatmeal or I could make granola....We're almost out of bread, but I have enough flour to make several loaves....We've got about a half gallon of milk left, but I have powdered milk that we can use....we're also out of soda, and I need some caffiene, but there's plenty of coffee and tea.  So I guess I need to get in there and get busy.  It's amazing how you can get into a habit of buying and doing the easy stuff.

I'm going to continue to work in my sewing/storage room today and try to finish up in there. I'm going to spend 15 minutes in my zone, the master bed and bath, and I'm going to clean out my fridge, make out my menu and shopping list for next week and finish up some sewing that I need to mail off. I have to get our clothes ironed and ready for the funeral tomorrow. I need to wash the denim today and Emily's diapers and try to keep up in the kitchen. We're having spaghetti for dinner tonight with garlic bread and carrots.  Well, I better run. Plenty to do. Praying your day is blessed!
