Busy Day....Glad it's almost overWell, the morning started off with a nice big breakfast of french toast and fresh fruit. Then my hubby let me go yard saling with a friend of mine, and boy, did we do good. My goal for today was to find some clothes for my children, who are rapidly outgrowing everything they own clothes. But that, I did not find, however, here's what I did get... ~a Dora pop up tent for my youngest-$1.00 ~a solid wood chair for my desk, needs repainting-$2.00 ~2 beautiful doilies-$1.00 ~an embroidered linen table cloth w/ one stain-$1.00 ~a star quilt top-great condition-$1.00 ~a like new twin size quilt w/ sham-$10.00 ~a beautiful dress-$2.00 ~comfy sweater-$1.00 ~about 20 yards of very nice fabrics-$9.75
The quilt was a good find, and I did talk them down a couple dollars from what they were asking. I was desperate for a new quilt for my daughter's bed. If you remember, I had bought her a disney princess comforter because she needed a warm quilt for the colder weather and it only cost me a few bucks at another garage sale a while back. But this one is a lot more conservative and fits in with their room a bit better. The fabric was a wonderful find. I didn't actually measure it, but I know it has to be about that much or more. I just paid 10 dollars at Walmart for 5 yards of fabric on Thursday, so I was happy. Anyways, after the yard saling was over with, I was heading to get some gas, and I saw a van sitting on the side of the road with a cage nearby and a sign saying dachunds for sale. Well, if you know me, you would know I LOVE dachunds. We used to breed them, but when we moved into an apartment, we had to get reed of our 2 that we had. I was so sad. My husband had been promising that we would keep an eye out for another one once we got settled into a good house with a yard. And there they were! I got a wonderful deal for a female black and tan dapple. She is adorable! I'll post some pictures asap. My kids were thrilled with her! After that, I had to take my oldest to a birthday swim party and then we had to run by the store to get some food for this new little addition to our family, then I had to go to my parents house, who are on vacation. I had to check on their cats and get the mail. Now I am home and it's nearing bedtime, and I'm exhausted. I got a sunburn on my arms and face from being out in the sun all day. This next week will be busy with watching my nieces, our usual every day housework stuff, house breaking the puppy, and getting ready for the yard sale that I'll be having in a couple of weeks. So I better get off of here and get ready for the next week. Have a blessed weekend. Blessings, Sara { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 354 of 461 } { Next Page } |
